*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

He showed me the demo disc. Firstly was DriveClub VR, this was okay but after 2 laps it started to affect me.

He then got me to try Rigs and I wish I never bothered. It seemed okay to start. Then as soon as i started to jump, it hit me hard.

Then i loaded up playroom but I couldn't handle anymore.
I still don't feel well now.

wouldn't of recommended that sort of start, when you feel up to it again try ocean descent, london heist and headmaster. Build up slowly to rigs, driveclub, eve and luge. Rush of blood shouldn't cause much agro either.

I agree with Mr Cookie. I've tried pretty much all of the demo's now and have also bought VR Worlds and Batman VR.

I haven't had a problem with anything other than RIGS and DriveClub, and that was only when jumping / falling in RIGS and after a long session with DriveClub...

Luge is the one I see talked about most in terms of nausea but didn't seem to affect me.

I've played a lot of Playroom VR, with my 8yr old son also playing via the TV screen, and have to say that the platforming game is one of my favourite VR experiences - it's funny how the slide at the end always tricks my mind though! Would be great for a full length game like that.

yeah something like mario worlds would rock, tethered is pretty good but kinda simplified god game :)

I've been on the fence about it for a while, but I caved and pre-ordered Final Fantasy XV today. Didn't realise it was only a couple of days to release. Its been ages since I've played a Final Fantasy game. Can't wait to get my hands on it :D

Hmm, I've been looking for a good headset but mainly for voice/party. After something that is very clear.

Wasn't keen on some of the reviews for the PS4 headset as some said the band broke.

Just don't fold it up and it will be fine. Had mine since not long after the PS4 was launched and it still going strong.

Interestingly enough my wife uses the Turtle beach Stealth one listed above (:p) and has no issues with it either. The only disadvantage (if it can be called that) is the TB once has to be connected via Optical out. Makes no difference in use but I often forget to unplug it and end up wondering why there is no audio.... (Connected into the back USB port on my pro).

HDR tvs come in many forms.

Tvs that can process a hdr signal but not display them.

HDR 8 which is 8 bit panels that display limited HDR.

HDR 10 which is 10 bit panels that display full HDR.

Again just because a tv is 10 bits and supports hdr doesn't mean its better than a HDR 8 because the difference in panels. You can get some awful HDR 10 panels and some cracking HDR 8 panels

Can someone suggests good quality PS4 thumbsticks, I have replaced the original one with cheap once from ebay but its hurting my thumbs. I prefer just a cover that goes on top, but if it needs replacing altogether then that's ok.

Thanks

Orb ones felt awful for me so I swapped them originals for the Xbone sticks. Loads better.

What do they feel like versus the stock PS4? Though I'm using big rubber covers... Quite a bit of height to them. I see there are metal ones people seem to rave about...

Still getting painfully slow download speeds on PSN. I'm at the point where I'm actually considering going back to the master race where I can download any game off Steam/Origin/Uplay in under 30 minutes. Every single game I buy now requires a massive 20gb patch or whatever and it's taking 4 hours+.
