*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

It's clicking and grinding with the disk stuck in there and the manual release isn't ejecting either. Is there a way to check which version my current drive is without fully dismantling my PS4? It looks like there are two versions: KEM490A and KEM460A. My PS4 was purchased shorthly after launch date.

Is this the right drive for the launch era PS4 model: Sony PS4 KEM-860A KES-860A BluRay Drive Replacement? Is there a way to check my current drive without fully dismantling my PS4?

I think you need to dismantle it anyway, you cant just swap the drive over and it works, part of the drives firmware / chip from the original drive needs to be on the new one your fitting.

(im sure this is what i read when i looked at doing mine)

I've had a look at some guides and it looks straightforward enough, just didn't want to take it apart twice.

I might as well replace the TIM whilst I'm in there too, anyone noticed improvements in noise levels on doing so?

I had to take mine apart a couple of times when one of the kids would take the card out of the STB and push it in to the PS3. And once when the PS3 was moved with a disc inside which jammed.

Well that's that ruined then... Anyone else play Paragon? :)

Personally the Latest patch has turned it from something fairly unique, that was easy to pick up and play, into the most half baked implementation of a hardcore moba I have ever seen. Basically the whole game has been changed overnight (maps, skills, cards, and has gone from accessible to needing expert level knowledge of moba terms and strategies), glad I haven't invested any real money into it.

I see Sony are up to their usual BS with their buy 1 get 1 free 'deals' on the PS store. Nearly every game is at least £10 more than I normally see them for. I mean Monopoly for £25? Really Sony?

Has anyone played Stardew Valley on PC? It's coming to consoles on Wednesday and am eager to try it out after seeing the Twitch broadcasts but not sure how it will work with a game pad.

This Stardew Valley is perfect for me. CBA with Minecraft as I don't have a creative bone in my body and Terraria was too complicated. But this game is excellent. There seems to be so many things to grow in it and a understandable path of progression. Bravo!

And I also had a dabble with Invisible, Inc. which seems good if a bit of a clunky interface.

Ghost was poor but blops3 was dire! Story was a complete mess and so boring. Not done infinite warfare sp yet but I enjoyed advance warfare out of most recent ones

The part hanging off the truck or was it bus? Trying to aim for the two guys on the 4x4 armoured jeep... That was quite a fun challenge on veteran as the screen was blurry, aiming sway, kill the two guys on the back, wound the driver, punch the guy once onboard throw him from the vehicle then jump back across to the bus?

Looked a lot easier than I remember as I failed jumping short to the bus. That and I remember my screen wasn't as clear due to blood/wounds/injured.

If your planning on playing the online part/multiplayer then I'd go for the GTA5 +megalodon $8million shark card bundle for £34.99. If you go the cdkeys route you can get it for around £32 so even better.

I had the physical copy and bought the digital bundle anyway as $8million is £65 on its own. I'll then sell the disc version.
