*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Yeah to be honest it's the usual time-sinks of CoD and FIFA that are keeping the PS4 seeing action for me. It's to be expected there's a delay between release and the second wave of games.

Still not found pigs on my world but just spotted the Beerfullo so Ill get some dung and start a farm once Ive found the pigs and setup a proper camp there. The pigs should keep me protected I thought?

Also can you move chests after you built them? I think Im doing ok so far if I watch what I eat and stay out of trouble. Only got the Science and Alchemist machine made at my camp...

Loving the game but really need somewhere where I can organise myself...

Pretty sure my PS4 is ******, when I press PS button on fifa then click the icon to go back into game it's taking 5-15 seconds to respond sometimes, never did this when I first got it.
 
I got to 21 days with the librarian, winter came an her mental state was low and had ran out of food, put all my fire making ings into the walking chest dark came and couldnt create a fire.....died but had altar so came back to life got back to camp and killed by penguins.

Petals restore 1hp per petal, spider glands a few more im sure i heard that dragon fruit restore hp fully but havent found any, also remember u can capture a bird build a birdcage and put it in there and feed it items that u want to grow as it poops out those types of seeds. Also i found giving berries and petals to pigs makes them poop as well so was chasing 1 down and after a few times he waves his hands and runs away lol.
 
To the people who have pre-ordered games on Amazon (like Destiny, Infamous, Thief, The Order), I just checked my 'Orders' section on Amazon and all of the prices have dropped to the lowest one.

The overall order total (for those 4 games above) has dropped from £206 to £185, so it appears Amazon do update the order to have the lowest price. I also received an email from them saying that I am now eligible for free release day delivery for Thief :D

For you guys that have the PS4 would you mind answering a couple of questions I have? I would really appreciate it :)

What is the PS4 online connection quality like? Do they have dedicated servers for every game?

Also what about people talking in game chat does this happen much? I remember it always used to be pretty quiet and that was left for xbox 360.

Having had my PS3 since launch, I never remember anyone ever talking online. Then, the only times I did hear people talk, it was one person, talking trash to other players. Never heard any team talk or even just general conversation.

I hope this has changed with PS4.

Just another quick question. I watch a lot of StoneMountain64's videos on Youtube. He games on Xbox 360 and XboxOne and he says that he can't game BF4 on X1 because the chat system is not as good as it was in BF3. Is he talking about BF games or how X1 is different?
 
Cant speak for XB1, but chat on the PS4 is pretty much dead so far :/
Compared to my experience on 360 - where communication was pretty common - its worlds apart.

This is what I expected which is ashame. It is early days I suppose and might change =/ As sad as it sounds I do partly play different games to find new people to add to our team.

Yeh most of the time nobody speaks, and when they do it's one person with their mic on annoyingly picking up every sound including eating and convos with family members. Pretty annoying
 
I reckon its just a 'culture thing' amongst Playstation people :/ even when I got some premade group going in BF4 they were like "dude, voice chat? really? why? we know how to play?" ..

Hopefully it will improve. Its probably partly down to the downright terrible system used in the PS3 so they just learned not to bother.

Online connection is fine. Dedicated servers is down to the publishers not Sony.

Very few people seem to talk even though they've included a mic now. This doesn't bother me as the general online community is full of ********* anyway.
 
Lol thanks for all the responses guys.

Unfortunately I know there are a lot of people who just use voice chat to be annoying. I guess it could be a benefit of the PS4, though I do think it will change overtime.

I might be wrong though!!
