BF4 and FIFA club Im always in a party, other MP games Im not - definitely seems to be a trait with certain games. Ive been told with KZ it actually defaults to having voice chat off which is completely dumb...

As mentioned before i reckon most ppl will be using party chat rather than in game chat, i use it, as i mainly play with my friends in the parties. Though wasnt it spouted before release that you could join multiple party chats at a time?, but when ive been invited to another chat it usually closes down 1 chat.
 
never used the ps4 party chat, didn't have it on ps3 so at the moment don't see a need for it for myself. can see why some would use it, even more so if moving over from the 360 where chat was used quite a lot...
 
I've not heard anyone on chat either but as suggested, maybe most people are just chatting in party. I'm always chatting while playing, but always in a party. I don't want to speak to random people. If I notice some good players playing the objectives then I'll send them an invite and maybe party up in future for chat and IMO I much prefer it this way.

Plus, when you're in a party you can't hear anyone else anyway as I understand it. So I'd have no idea if other people were chatting or not. Once you go in a party, I am sure it just mutes everyone else as it prioritises the party.
 
Ergh party chat while in a single player game. So annoying when you're really immersed and then you here someone eating a bag of crisps, or telling everyone else about the game they're playing! No chat is good sometimes :)

Well for me its little things like in BF3 on the 360 you were automatically able to voice chat with your squad, unless your already in a group/party chat.
Made the game much more enjoyable, and just muted the muppets :)
I found chatting with strangers quite enjoyable on the whole - pretty much everyone in L4D2 were great. Just seems so dead on PS4 though, outside of my party :/

Do you have Playstation Plus (the console should come with a free month?) as you can get Resogun and Don't Starve.

As for games that aren't available on PC, erm you may have to wait a little longer for that! Assassins Creed Black Flag is regarded as running better on PS4 than PC. But it depends what you already have.

Thanks for the reply, yes I will be getting PS Plus. Is Resogun and Don't Starve free with PS+?

I have completed AC 4 on PC unfortunately. I will just have to sit tight and wait for The Order, Second son etc. I cant wait to see what Naughty dog come up with too!

Yes Don't Starve and Resogun are free on PS Plus :)
 
Dammit the day my PS+ runs out cdkeys are out of stock of the 365 deal.

Are the free games still available to play after expiry of the deals (assuming I download them now)?

The lack of chat is also probably due to the awful headset they include with the PS4 - it's enough to put anyone off.

You can only play games you got for free with Playstation Plus while you have an active subscription. I would imagine you'd receive some kind of error message if you tried to play Resogun for example.
