PlayStation January sale started today. 500+ games discounted.

There's an absolute megaton of stuff I want like Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted 4, Hitman, Dishonored 2, etc etc. I could easily spend 500 notes. If I were nuts.

Hmm, now I've had a proper look, some of the prices are still too much for my liking. Skyrim at £20? Needs to be a tenner. Hitman £30! Needs to be £20 or less. Maybe I'm just being unreasonable but I'm not biting at those amounts.

I don't think anyone thought they would honour the mis-price let alone do something crazy like giving out gift cards. Very frustrating few weeks though trying to get any sort of answer out of them, especially last week when they started giving out gift cards on Monday and mine didn't come through until Friday, never refreshed my emails so much :o

Then they stopped doing them from Saturday so the few people remaining have had to settle for the original mis-price which is still a good deal but obviously not as good as free, so that kinda sucks for them. Again no communication about why so any goodwill feelings Currys were hoping to get from this aren't exactly forthcoming, even with what they've done I still think they are a terrible company. :p

Heh if you check HUKD there's a Tesco glitch price for a Pro for £200 with a game and extra controller. About a couple thousand of us ordered at 2am when it went live :p

Not sure what to expect with that one. Apparently Tesco honoured XBox-S consoles for £45 all-in, but cancelled a South Price glitch price for much less (discount).

So I guess we wait and see!
 
Tesco are douchbags, they will probably just leave all the orders in pending state having taken the money until you question it, which they will then refund due to no stock or similar.

Finally I'm upgrading my launch day console to a pro.

I want to upgrade the drive to 2tb, what's the go to drive these days and is anyone using this external jobby?

Until those Pro's are physically in people's hands I'll await my congratulations....
But at this time of year, Tesco won't be making a loss - so it could be good times for those that ordered.

Just collected from TESCO :p £205 all in, with extra controller, GT and HA (both of which I'll sell).

Now I need to beg/steal/borrow (or even buy!) all the PS exclusives I've been missing.

Btw if you're following the HUKD thread it seems some people got refunded but their items still dispatched... they might end up with a free bundle if they're lucky!

How much margin are in these Pro's for retailers to keep honouring price glitches :p
 
What a bargain! Very surprised they honoured it. I'd have bought one or two just to sell on for profit at that price. Probably make £100 on each one.

Yes, I know it's immoral, but I don't care.

It's that sort of mentality that makes retailers not want to honour these pricing errors, spoiling it for everyone else in the process.

It's nothing to do with that. Retailers just don't wanna honour them full stop. Its very rare that pricing errors this great ever get honoured.
 
It certainly is, because a handful of individual orders are more likely to either go under the radar or be put through on the basis of goodwill, compared to someone bulk-buying them to put on eBay.
 
Anyway, since I'm not selling my PS4... can you guys help me out by steering me in the direction of PS4 games I absolutely have to play?

I have a low-end PC (2500k/R480) so multi-plat games that are cheaper on Steam - unless they're better on PS4 - can be skipped over. Anything that has a terrible PC port of a good PS4 game can be included tho.

So far on my hit-list:

The Last of Us
Horizon Zero Dawn
Uncharted 1 (and then possibly the rest if I like it...)

(is that all the exclusives? Surely not)

Then Prey as it seems cheaper on the PS4 than Steam

... and then I start struggling :p

The Last Guardian any good?

I didn't buy an XBox One X because I'm not 100% shooter focused. Love a good adventure game/ MetroidVania; story games are my thing. Multiplayer focused games are not my thing :p Not interested in Destiny or Overwatch or CoD or the like. Just doesn't float my boat.

Suggestions very welcome!

Yakuza 0, God of war 3 remaster, Ratchet & Clank, Neir Automata, Gravity Rush2, Infamous second son, Bloodborne, Withcer 3 (not exclusive but must play)
