*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Battlefield 1 is currently on sale on the PS store. Revolution is available for £6.49, which is 87% off. Is it a good game?
I bought it and premium when it came out and it a fun shooter no doubt.

It's lost a lot of what made Battlefield good though. Plus loading times are to long and the weapons all feel much the same.

Yes !! This looks incredible! It’s all I ever wanted. Been a mega fan since the original on ps1

Edit. I can’t find any threads on this game.. no fans here ?

Sweet! I haven't seen a good plane game in a long long time. It is times like this I'm glad I switched from normal stick control to inverted.

It’s gonna be so good to finally get back to the world of strangereal :)

So many customisable options for each plane, and the ability to add mods to improve performance, so early tier planes are still capable during the later missions. And I have a feeling there’s going to be a few surprises (super planes, they haven’t shown yet )

That F-14 camo paint scheme looks awesome. Also the laser weapon looks cool too. Ahhhh. I cannot wait !

I got my Pro on Friday. It is super quiet. Only thing I'm struggling with is I'm not keen on the controller.

Are you used to playing on Xbox One or do you come from keyboard/mouse? I previously swore that the Xbone controller is the best I've ever used but I'm not so sure now, I'm beginning to lean more towards the DualShock 4. Never thought I'd be saying that in a million years!

I've always used the Xbox controller with my PC. I have to say it seems a lot better than the DS4.
I'm sure I'll get used to it though.

Also impressed with how quiet the new PS4 Pro model (RDR2 bundle) is, was expecting much worse after reading some posts about the fan noise of other models

I also got PS4 Pro on Friday and like you I'm used to Xbox controller from PC so bought Onyx PS4 controller which has Xbox layout. The "handles" are a bit shorter than Xbox controller but you get used to that quickly. GF prefers PS style controllers so it works well for us that I use the Onyx and she using PS one on her profile.

I was a bit worried about the noise while installing RDR 2 but once in game it's pretty quite, louder than my PC though :p

Is it worth picking up a PRO over a normal? Will be playing on a 1080p plasma, and only really for RD2 andthe last of us 2 (otherwise I'd get a X1).

Lot of money for a PRO, will I be missing much? I could pick up a 2nd hand one for £100ish and then sell it on later.

Not really, not at 1080p certainly.

It depends, I use one with a 1440p monitor and got it only for improved framerates. It does make a difference in certain titles, 60fps mode on Shadow of the Colossus is incomparable.

Other than that, not really much to it. Xbox One runs RDR2 at native 4k which is mighty impressive.

Yeah I would get a Xbox, but theres a few PS4 exclusives I want. As I also prefer the pad.

Same with me, that's why I have the Pro. One is a pretty fantastic piece of hardware but there's just too little in it for me when I have a Pro and a decently specced PC.

Same with me. I didn't particularly want either tbh, but in the end there are too many good PS4 games I wanted to play. An Xbox was never in contention.
