*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

I thought it had been well established that it was so they could get a higher frame rate for the online play?
They gone for a compromise that isnt just rescaling/stretching a rendered image to improve FPS, but also needs its own computation to work. Its a bizarre/interesting choice since it takes away some of the performance theyve saved by using it rather than what others tend to do...

Still awaiting Guerrillas response as what theyve done isnt just a cheap/simple upscale. Love to see the reasoning behind that rather than doing 1080p/30fps...

It certainly is an interesting topic, surprised no-one has started a discussion on it here, but then it's not an xbox one game is it.

Problem youve got is the people that actually would keep it interesting, just dont come to this sub-forum, its why I go elsewhere for info and debate, but Ive done that since the whole 'next gen' came around. Theres only so many times that I feel like repeating that 920x1080 is still 1080p when it comes to this topic, the uninformed just make it difficult to keep something actually interesting...

Its already very obvious that MS are just learning what Sony went through most of the PS3 gen regards 'once bitten, twice shy', Im not sure they are dealing with it in the same way yet though - but its the major reason why people are hypersensitive to the XO and whats newsworthy right now.

EDIT: To make my opinion clear, in hindsight it fits in the mumurs Ive had with ak22 regards the KZ MP when playing it. On one hand I dont think Guerrila have been forthcoming beyond technicalities. I dont think I feel duped, more surprised they got away with it for so long. Whatever theyve done seems to be impressive work to do that, but it does feel like theyve overworked their workaround when they could have just gone with a 'fairer' solution - straight 1080p/30fps seems more possible.

Im more interested in how they respond now...

Might have to join up with you lot on online gaming. Would love to game with my mates on the x1(when they finally get one) but when I think about their game line up. They have nothing I actually want to play. Whereas ps has a few more I'd like to play. Plus a load more down the line.

Yes it's dull, and pretty much the same as 3

I want a proper new next gen game not the same rehashes we have now, hopefully infamous can deliver that

Its not the same as KZ3..... the guns have much less recoil, players have less health, the maps are smaller, no exosuits/mechs & jetpacks, no aim assist (good thing).

Well I just got £25 PSN credit for £19.94 off CDKeys so will probably get Strider and use the rest on Awesomenauts Assemble when it comes out this week (if it is still on for March 5th release date)

When I turn my PS4 on and load Fifa up for example, my PS4 will make a very loud vibrating noise that lasts about 20 sseconds.

The noise goes away if I push down the bottom left corner of my PS4.

My PS4 lies flat, I think it's just the vibrating of the ps4 on my desk.

Anyone else have this? I've seen it reported before.

I think I'll buy a stand for it.

Anyone else get this? Just ordered a stand.

Vertical mate.

So it isn't a dodgy drive or anything?

the console doesn't sit flush when horizontal it has a slight wobble to it if you press on one side which could be exaggerated by an uneven surface.

mine has no issues but i can make it wobble if i press the left side with some force.

i imagine a couple of coasters would help with the stability issue one on each corner on the left side of the console from the front.

buying a vertical stand brings other issues into play, it wouldn't fit in my AV unit for one, another is it could accidentally be knocked over, etc being left out in the open, therefore i have mine horizontal in the AV unit.

mine makes very little noise, i can only hear it when it spins a disc up when it initially checks for one other than that no issues.

you need to see if it is an issue with the console or where it's been positioned, does laying it vertically without a stand get rid of the issue? then i imagine it's due to it not being 100% horizontal

Mine does it sometimes also with lego I can guarantee that I bet if you take disc out clean it even though there is probably no mark or dust put it back in that weird vibrating noise will disappear, I was told that on another forum did it and it worked oddly, it will come back but I've zero idea what causes it cause it still reads perfectly and doesn't appear to ever mark the disc :s

Took my game branded orb headset back today and changed them for another cheapo set. Triton Kama, £19.99 and they are 100 times better, Still to test the mic but sound wise they are a world apart and they connect with a single 3.5mm jack to the joypad.

Im geniunely happy that Fez is coming on March 26th, somehow I didnt buy it on the PC but looking forward to playing on PS4. Should be pretty cheap since its cross-buy and also cross-play :)
