Just a complete waste of money. Now I've got to spend £55 just to get a new pad that will likely start to come away from the sticks again.

Just take it back to Sony if you lost receipt if not then return it to the retailer, the first six months of warranty is their problem.
 
Too impatient to spend more on sticks and then more on a new controller? I thought they were turning controller requests over pretty quickly.

To be fair though installing the sticks is really easy if you follow the right process.

I should have just returned it in the first place....

Controller is broken up now anyway.

Ring Sony, get an rma, send faulty item back, get new one.

Sorted. Sonys service departments will probably have stock of later batches also.
 
Will be picking up a new PS4 controller from Argos soon, so if the thumb sticks do start to come away again, Argos should replace it without fuss as long as it's within 6 months?
