Yes, you'll have two choices (or three if they bring out another SKU with more storage).

1) Buy an external USB HDD/SSD and keep copying PS5 games backwards and forwards to the internal as and when you want to play them. (PS4 games will run from an external drive.)
2) Buy an NVMe card which can be plugged into the console itself. But you'll need to get one that Sony have certified for the PS5 (needs minimum transfer speed of 7GB/sec).

Ouch, what's the point of putting the time and money into their SSD. That will be filled with a handful of games, then value of the console is lost when you have to plug in an inferior one.

You won't be able to play off of an inferior one so that's not much of an issue.

The ideal is to allow you to store games on a usb3 drive, which need to be installed on the system before you play. Would certainly be quicker than downloading the game again.

The one thing that Sony do well is marketing. They're well known to put out outrageous claims and then never fulfill them.

"The emotion engine can run Toy Story graphics real-time" and that infamous Kill-zone demo/video.
It goes all the way back to the PS1 dinosaur tech demo.

Over excited people over at HUKD, a more realistic view (surprisingly) at Reddit.
There is zero way the console can be launched with a description of "1TB". It's already set in stone that it is 825GB, and that is before OS and any "reserved space" is taken into account.
So, even if there was going to be a higher capacity SKU (which there is zero indication of happening) there is no possible way you can advertise a 1.65TB console as 2TB.

We also know the console is not going to sell for £600. It simple won't happen.

So like the numerous "price leaks" we've seen over the past 6 months from numerous retailers across the world, this tells us nothing more than the fact Amazon are currently getting placeholders onto their system in preparation.
Considering it's unlikely we'll even see the console before July and I've still got my money on an August price & pre-order.

Oh, as others mentioned about storage on the PS5.
With 825GB internally, I'll personally be saving that for PS5 games. I'll be running PS4 games from an external 2TB USB SSD.
Once the products are released and I'm anywhere near filling that 825GB (remembering how many PS5 games there will be at launch), I'll buy a compatible NVMe drive for the expansion slot.

Is it set in stone that it's 825? Maybe it will be higher (not that it makes much difference), I guess it's just semantics really. I'm hoping for 500 (499), I can't see them selling one for less than that, but if it's too expensive you end up pricing yourself out the market (unless they do the ms route of subscription).

I found storage not to be an issue once I stopped installing games I wont play for ages etc, stick to a couple at a time.

Same here, rarely replay games, perhaps after a few years and for games like mass effect etc will replay so no point storing for the sake of it.

plus get 200mb download so can downloads most games I want within an hour or less most times.

just downloaded gta5 again as free on epic games store, 96GB lol but didn’t take long at all.

Frothing to see the actual console ... trying not to have expectations, but I can't help it. Not had any tech hardware in many years, and I'm getting that shiney new toy buzz :p
