The conspiracy theorists might not see this postVery have the Optical Drives back in stock if anyone looking......
This is the major drawback from the upgraded haptic feedback - an increase in power draw. I wish Sony had gone down the Xbox controller route and allowed for replaceable battery packs / rechargeable batteries. That said, haven't run into any issues with my two controllers which I've had since launch - no drift or significant battery depletion.Yeah definitely, I think we paid £40 for the extra controller but asking £60 for them new now is a joke, with no enhanced battery life or improvements to prevent stick drift.
I half agree, but I think both should've switched to either replaceable rechargeable batteries only or include higher capacity built-in batteries as standard (less an issue for the Xbox controllers as they don't have much extra functionality). I bought a new transparent blue Xbox controller for my PC the other day and they're still including two AA disposable batteries with them. This trend needs to die off, they're such a waste. This is the major drawback from the upgraded haptic feedback - an increase in power draw. The way the Xbox controllers are designed you can decide to go with AA batteries, use a lithium chargeable battery pack or use 3rd party rechargeable batteries eg. Enloops. Having the choice is good. The dualsense on the other hand, once the internal battery is dead ... it's a paperweight.I bought a new transparent blue Xbox controller for my PC the other day and they're still including two AA disposable batteries with them. If you don't mind the extra weight, use a battery pack to recharge the battery while you're still using it - that is what i do.If anyone thinks the regular Dualsense battery is bad, just give the Dualsense Edge a whirl.
I've paid 200 quid for 2 paddles, swappable thumb sticks and a 35 minute battery (I do love it though...).
Yes you can swap the SSD between consoles.

It’s a DF clip video but I think it’s a good one to help decide if a ps5 pro is “worth it” for you
Does anyone know if you can swap an m2 SSD from one ps5 to another (ie ps5 pro) and retain all of the game installs?
I have a nearly full 1tb M2 SSD and I don’t want to have to reinstall/download those games again as it would take days!
I've done the same. OG PS5 has 1tb nvme with all my ps5 games on it.I have a nearly full 1tb M2 SSD and I don’t want to have to reinstall/download those games again as it would take days!
One thing that doesn't get mentioned in that video, which is surprising, is viewing distance. It plays such an important role in how much benefit you are going to actually see, outside of any frame rate increases. It’s a DF clip video but I think it’s a good one to help decide if a ps5 pro is “worth it” for you

Very true. I have a viewing distance of approx 9 feet in my lounge ( on a 65" OLED ). I will barely notice any of the visual upgrades on some of these games. For me, getting games running at a locked 60 fps would be the main draw rather than the improvement in visual fidelity. One thing that doesn't get mentioned in that video, which is surprising, is viewing distance.
