I pre-ordered with Amazon and it appears it'll be delivered Friday instead of tomorrow.
I'm annoyed, but I already have a delivery on Friday that I need to wait in for so I guess it saves me waiting in for 2 days this week :(

It's an odd one with Amazon.
Couple of my mates ordered from them - they like to move money into their Amazon balance now and again, so the purchase doesn't "feel" so expensive.
From the day they placed the order it's shown as "Delivery Friday 8th". They both assumed Amazon had it wrong and closer to the date, that would be updated.
However, right now they are both sat with their order showing as Friday delivery.

I think if I'd ordered for release, I'd be a little bit gutted.
It's not quite like the PS5 release day - that was a new generation, everything new - so many felt they just had to have it on release day (myself included). But still, £699 is a lot to pay and for them to miss launch day.

Yeah best thing to do is to offload all your games to the M.2 SSD, make sure all your cloud saves are all sync'ed, and then whack that M.2 SSD into your new PS5 Pro.
Correct me if I am wrong but I thought the M2 drive was tied into the console or is it just your Playstation account.

I am in the same boat with my OG PS5, my 2tb M2 drive is nearly full, I was going to transfer the games from the built in storage directly over wifi to the PS5 Pro.

Cheers All

I move the NVMe from my original PS5 to the PS5 slim, with no problems.

Logging into my PSN account and all the games appeared ready to play. Saved me from redownload or installing from the disc again.

That's great thanks for your help, that's going to save a lot of messing around :)

Amazon tracking always changes, often I place orders for a specific day and it comes a day or two early, don’t be surprised if it changes to tomorrow.

I was going to do that, but I figured it would take a while. I needed to transfer the data from my daughter's PS4 to my PS5 and my PS5 to the Pro. A small chain but just want to do it as quickly as I can.
PS4 games onto an external USB if you have one (can play them from that on PS5 too). PS5 games to m2 .. m2 into PS5pro. You may still want to do the network transfer thing afterwards from ps5 to pro if you have sub accounts on the console and/or don't have cloud saves. PS4 can move saves onto USB but PS5 can't.

All this waiting for this postman is hassle and fraught with anxiety (judging from a few posts).

I'm just gonna go to the shop tomorrow, pay the balance I owe and collect my reserved one. I'm fairly sure they will have plenty in stock anyway.

If I had a delayed delivery and wanted the console bad enough, just cancel the online order and go to a shop tomorrow!
