The Verge article kinda misses the point, imo ... the PS5 Pro isn't about improving image fidelity, it's about improving FPS without compromising image quality.

I’m thinking the pro might get a performance mode for gta6 ?

Nothing to be concerned about, DPD will do collections late into the night. I've just checked my last couple of DPD deliveries on the app, one shows as collected at 8pm and the other at 1am.

Who knows at this stage ? Rockstar don't owe Sony anything. Will Sony grease their palms with some $$$ to fund some Pro enhancements ? Possibly. But it's all speculation this far out.

Aye, a few reviews seem to be concerned about distance to TV and TV size. I don't care; I just want to future proof playing games at 60 (or 40 120/VRR), including GTA6.

Don't hold your breath buddy. Locked 40 would be a good target. If they can improve their poor VRR implementation to kick in at lower fps (I think it's 48hz minimum at present) then that would be even better IMO.

PS5 VRR can do 40+ range but requires game to run in 120hz mode

If you're keeping the M.2 drive in the Pro, just leave the games on there. It will take much longer to copy the games off the M.2 drive than it takes to copy them to it.

From Sony Direct. First time ordering I normally just use Amazon but looking good so far.

I am going to carry on playing Dragon Age. It already looks and performs beautifully so I’ll be interested to see how it improves with the enhancements.

Confirmed ps5 pro is still limited to 32Gbps over HDMI 2.1. As such 4k 120hz output still requires YUV422 sub sampling and 8k 60hz requires DSC
