Yes it’s there.Does Astro come pre-installed on the Pro like it did on the standard?
Are you using it in the vertical position? Mine is also quite loud when gaming. I'm wondering if it's due to not having the vertical stand and that is making it run a bit warmer. It's dead quiet when powering on etc zero coil whine which I had with my og ps5.
I replied to this yesterday - couple of mates were in the same situation. Neither of them overly-worried, but frustrated.
One of them went for a web chat with Amazon this morning and found himself going around in complete circles with them - they just kept on repeating "Yes, release day today, you get it tomorrow" - as if this has ever been the thing for this kind of release.
He said after the 4th time of typing "Every other UK retailer is getting items out to people today, so why are you the only ones not" and getting the reply "Don't worry, it will be with you by 10:00pm tomorrow" he just switched off
I'd be joining in all this if only it had been £100 cheaper (of the optical drive had been included).
SameSo glad I got my optical drive from Very in September as soon as they pro was announced, I knew they would sell out quickly.

Standard Ethernet cable, PS5 reconfigures the port as needed.Home from the stallions club (yes i failed) BUT I'm really curious about the console to console via ethernet transfer thing. Do you use a standard cable or a crossover?
Yeah that's annoying. Always a bit risky buying a brand new product it's pot luck if you get something without any problems. Hopefully they'll exchange it. My fan noise seems to be better but maybe I'm just getting used to it!I have got it vertically but I’m using the official stand.
I think I’ve got a Friday build as aside from the loud fan my Ethernet port isn’t flush which means the Ethernet cable doesn’t fit in all the way. If you look at the port there’s a gap between the exterior plastic and the port itself.
I appreciate that I’m extremely picky but I’ll be contacting Very to see if I can exchange it.
Here’s what I mean. First pic shows a gap and the second shows how it should be flush
Will check my lan port in the morning now

Yeah I'm still on the fence about getting the vertical stand if it doesn't improve the noise. I'll try it in horizontal to see if it gets any quieter but I doubt it will make much difference. Either way it's still quieter than my og ps5. Besides in cold weather I don't mind a bit more heat coming out! I've no experience with Very but hopefully they won't mess you around and send the replacement quickly. Please do. I’m curious what other people’s are like.

With regards to fan noise, someone has already done comparisons with two fan types and they both sound the same to me so I’d be ok living with the noise. Coil whine is a lot less than previous ps5’s I’ve had.
I’m hoping very come through with good customer service. Not sure if they do advance replacements or whether I’ll have to mess about sending it back, waiting for them to check it and then send a replacement as that’ll likely take a couple of weeks.
Seems quite stable vertically without the stand. Horizontally also fine, with the included plastic feet.

Does the lan cable click in when inserted ? My port looks like yours but the cable clicks in and works fine.
When I sent a laptop back to very they would only refund and then I could re-order not great if you used a voucher.
