It's just the menu guys, this has nothing to do with RT or anything, there's zero RT in this game apart from Quality mode that targets 30fps.

I've encountered it once or twice on PC too when a game menu made it sweat more than it should.
Maybe Hogwarts does it on PC too, don't remember but I'll check later.
It's because the menu framerate is uncapped on console, it just runs at full beans pushing as much power as it possibly can to get the highest performance it can.

There are a few other games that have the same problem. On PC, if you implement an FPS cap it applies it across the whole game (including menus) so you won't notice it.

I think I must be the only one excited by the possibility of a day's gone remaster. I only got a few hours into it and seemed good but just dropped it at the time.
Not at all.. I would love it and probably get it and complete it for probably about the 10th time.. That said it still looks great to me. If they do as a tester for a DG2 i think it would be a problem because its been available for years now for really cheap/free so having to pay for a remaster will put people off that have paid for it and played it before.

You sure it's the fan then? High menu frames usually cause loud capacitor noise, not so much fan noise

Yeah, I thought the menu must run uncapped.

It does indeed result in more coilwhine sometimes, as Grim said, but it'll also make the fan ramp up if the load/tems exceed the threshold set, which is what happens on the Pro.

Tried hogwarts again - no fan noise now. Must’ve been because it hadn’t finished downloading or something.

Spider-Man 2 runs fantastic - visuals are amazing. Few more games to try today.

TBH, Hogwarts can't reach stable 60fps in quality mode even without RT so you'll be dropping below LFC range so often that it's not worth it and running uncapped introduces quite a lot of stuttering in all modes.

The only worthwhile mode is fixed 60fps performance mode as it's the closest to running well.

Traded in my original PS5 to CeX, and was contacted 7 hrs later saying they couldn't find the screw for the base. Without it, they won't accept for sale. The ***** better not have lost it !
