That was using a code this is just reduced. I paid full price for mine and I'm happy. I have noticed the difference in quite a few games I have played.
I did get a good deal with that store.IMO it's worth the full price at £699. i have played about 8 games and they all feel so much smoother on my LG C2.

PS5 Pro currently £659.99 at well known high street catalogue shop.
That's pretty cheeky not even a week after the official launch. Then again, I guess third party suppliers can charge as much or as little as they want! I really feel for the folk that pre-ordered and paid at full price.

£613 with my discount code. Another hundred off and I'd be mildly tempted.

You guys have pretty nice deals over there, much closer to what it's actually worth.

Then again, folks over here have boxed consoles they're struggling to sell under retail on auction sites so hopefully some discounts come our way too as it seems Pros aren't exactly flying off the shelves.

Could you explain how you calculated what it’s actually worth?

Yes, the formula is "personal preference + checking out how the games I'm actually interested in perform that aren't the ones I played to death on the base model".

If you think 700 quid for a console that is closer to what the base PS5 was marketed to be and that plays older games the way the base PS5 was supposed to play them while still struggling to deliver a locked 60fps in 2024 titles despite the claims that it'd allow us to forget about modes and get quality+performance, then fair play.

I hope you're satisfied with my calculations and if you didn't get it the first time round, I'll happily add "what it's worh FOR ME" not to ruffle any more feathers:P

Only you can justify it. You’ll see anyone in this thread who bought one justifying it and anyone who hasn’t bought one doing the opposite.

It’s your money, provided you can afford it then no one else can tell you how should spend it.

Is it expensive? Sure, 700 for a console is a lot of cash. The 20% Very offer kindly posted here helped bring it closer to 550, selling my OG PS5 for 275 helped get it below 300 but that’s only me justifying it to myself.

I also just really like playing games on my PS5. I use my PC for fps games but the majority of my gaming is done on the PS5 so I’m really happy to play the games I enjoy with varying improvements. F1 24 feels like a genuinely new game, Horizon looks insane, and I’m excited to see what updates keep coming to other games.
I sold enough old tech to cover the cost so I'm happy I paid nothing out of pocket.
