I'm not inclined to rely on the Youtubers opinions so how are you lot finding GT7 in VR on the Pro?

It's about the only thing that's tempting me because I reckon it'll be like the PS4 Pro all over again without the benefit of moving from 1080p to 4K.

I was a day one adopter of that one and while I don't regret the purchase, it's the memory of how little difference there actually was and how few games that actually took advantage of it that's putting me off selling the PS5 for the Pro.

Though, if it sounds like a jet engine again then I'm in!!!

Maybe a weird question, but is everyone's ethernet port so recessed into the system?

In my unit and all pictures of PS5 Pro's I could find, the Ethernet port is pretty recessed. Even on the mainboard itself, it's deeper in when compared to the other ports.

This causes some network cables (especially those with anti-snag guards) to not click and lock.

Is everyone's unit like this?

As posts above, I noticed the recessed port when setting the Pro up, my cable clicked home without any issue, but cables that have larger plugs could certainly have an issue.

The disc drive is in stock at Currys now but they're charging an extra 10 quid. I'm going to wait until tomorrow when supposedly a large stock will be available everywhere at the regular price

If I recall correctly I believe MW3 was on sale during Black Friday last year but I think it was only about a £10 saving off full price on the PlayStation store.
Decent price cuts only tend to happen leading up to the release of the next CoD game.

Physical copies may be had for cheaper at retailers though, but I don’t do physical anymore so can’t really advise on past prices.
Forgot to mention, you were spot on, it's a tenner off, and I can knock off another 6 with cheap PSN credit, so £54 instead of £70. The best i can hope for a digital game that came out less than a month ago!

I've been playing it via Gamepass cloud streaming for the last week or so, but I think it's time to buy the native "Pro Enhanced" version!

Bargain. I have the original console so only the pro interests me. But I also need the disc drive too so that’s the kicker.

That’s why I would have been severely tempted with the earlier pro offer at £511.

Sorry quick question for a PS noob please

If I don't subscribe, saves are just local? What's the issue with this or the advantage of cloud saves?

I'm trying to decide if I want to stick to buying and selling disc copies of games or just subscribe to Extra but Extra seems to be missing TLOU part 2 for some reason

Edit - in fact it's missing from premium as is god of war Ragnarok, kind of confusing I expected they would be on there

It's not the same as Xbox Game Pass, not all first party titles are available but there is quite a good selection.

Downside of no cloud saves is if the console goes up the creek you lose all your progress. You can back up ps4 saves to a usb stick but I don't think this is possible with ps5 saves.
