It seems like they're going with the "make it look bad on purpose, that way we get the shock advertising now, and then when we fix it we've 'listened to the players' and get to do the media/mindshare rounds again". Let's put it this way, it's getting more attention than if they had just released a black version, which would be close to indistinguishable from the dualshock 4.
 
Have Sony played online on playstation? The first thing pretty much everyone does if they ain't in a party of friends is mute other players mics.

I find that a pointless addition, but then my guess is we will be getting some kind of voice assistant on the PS5.

Don't mind the shape and general looks but I really don't want a white console to go with it.

A mic, the addition no one asked for, would have been a big deal if they had added back buttons on as standard.

Yes the PS5 does have a voice assistant
 
I don't mind it.
Familiar but different and I'm sure there'll be a black version.
Will wait for some reviews of people that have held and used it :)

What happens on ps4, I don't really play online games on mine but I assumed voice would play through the controller.
 
I like it, looks like an improvement on what was already a good controller. Unsure about the colour scheme but its growing on me however I would like a black console or a colour option on release. They also have planned unannounced features with the create button. Be interesting to hear what that's all about, I'd assume its share with extras of sorts.
 
I really like the new controller myself.

How it feels and performs is more important than how it looks anyway. Not saying aesthetics don't matter. Just matter less.
 
Looks good IMO. An iterative update from the DS4, which is already a fantastic controller. It's always a danger straying too far with new controllers, as players have just spent 7 years getting used to the last ones.
 
Yup - looks good. Obviously quite impossible to say much else without having handled it myself or at least heard from people who have.
As for "Showing controller but not console 100% confirms all the BS from unknown people posts about the console having problems" - ROFL.
 
Looks fine to me. I might prefer a more traditional black version though.

What I am looking forward to learning is the price of the console and if there will be any launch exclusives that make full use of the ssd.
