Therefore they released the new Dual Sense controller, which will be followed up quite soon with the console itself, yes this is wishful thinking but taking the current situation into account, quite a plausible one. It's an interesting situation they now find themselves in. They had forgone attending E3, saying as far back as January that they'd instead be "participating in hundreds of consumer events across the globe". Now that those events won't be happening, they'll have to suddenly change tack.
Mine is the same, bought at launch. have cleaned it numerous times, but no difference at all. Its sounds like its going to take off at timesMine is a launch pro and is very loud no exaggeration. It’s loud enough to be annoying when playing games even at decent volume.
Did either of you ever own a 360? Now that was loud. My Pro is nowhere near 360 levels.Mine is the same, bought at launch. have cleaned it numerous times, but no difference at all. Its sounds like its going to take off at times

If the the controller is anything to go by.. the design of the console should be incredible.
Of course it works but it's intrusive, Uncharted 4 seems to be particularly bad for example, just sat here with it in the background now and noisy is an understatement..Guys please take note you all seem to be slagging the fan off on the Pro but it bloody works..
My Xbox X is now starting to shut it self off due to over heating and I know quite a few people on my friends list that had and having the same problems......
Making a big box and sticking the biggest fan on top is not Sony's style.
Also I know who to trust when it comes to reliably when making hardware.
My X is the BFV version. I love the look of it also it's like a two toned design with gold and grey.Of course it works but it's intrusive, Uncharted 4 seems to be particularly bad for example, just sat here with it in the background now and noisy is an understatement..
IIRC didn't the OneX have some issues such as that at launch? Can't quite remember...
The XSX cooling/design should be very efficient, it doesn't look amazing but it's actually kinda cool imo, but agreed it's definitely not Sony's style to follow suit with that kind of design. I think the PS5 will be quite a snazzy bit of kit, it just needs to be bigger than the Pro to get a solid cooling solution.
It's funny my xb1x shut down due to overheating for the first time a couple of days ago, for about a year now it has been noticeably audible under load (actually louder than my ps4 pro) dunno if I just have a dud one or notGuys please take note you all seem to be slagging the fan off on the Pro but it bloody works..

I'm a bit worried the PS5 will end up looking like that U shape design after hearing that an exotic heatsink is in the billing for manufacturing!!!
Yes HZD is demanding too. I have the later Pro that you speak of and I have literally just taken it apart to clean it and apply some thermal compund. It was clean inside but the factory compound was rubbish, just put it back together and the fan is now running the next speed down so it is a bit quieter now, not much, but a little, that'll do me!I just booted up horizon zero dawn on my normal ps4 just to test my new oled. You can hear the fans spin up on that too, so maybe it's just that it's demanding games. For reference mines an early ps4 and an early pro. I believe they've had a die shrink during their lives which will reduce heat.
I'm not brave enough to do that with my pro, and I'd be pretty annoyed if I did it then found it made no difference (which from reading online has happened to a few people).I don't think that will be the final design, and the exotic heatsink will hopefully be some kind of mega efficient water cooling or something

That's the bit I've done, made no difference.Cleaning the fan and at least part of the heatsink can be done without taking the entire console apart, might be worth a shot. You just need to take the top cover off, no screws required.
