I've seen two broken Brand new Xbox elite pads straight out of the box.

That's currently at a rate of 2 out of 3.

Is that the true rate?

Home button didn't register all the time and they last one, one of the face buttons didn't register.

I've had a ps3, ps4, ps5, xbox one and a series s. My ps5 had a sticky x button (but I suspect that's from my son as he was eating crisps without washing his hands after) and I've never had stick drift. I've also had a switch for a few years and that's got no problems either. That said, no product ever has a 100% pass rate, and you tend to only hear the negatives as few people mention it if there's no problems.

LOL, I get my lot to thoroughly scrub up as if they were doing invasive surgery before they can touch my controllers. :D

Think I had the 1 TB one before upgrading to the 2TB Kingston fury one. Both are grand. Got it for around 150.

And no problems? It kind of puts me off buying them as there is no way to update the SSD firmware in the PS5. but something must be done as I’ve gobbled up 500GB off the internal storage in <24 hours!

Yep, also have the 1TB version and no issues at all. Never updated the SSD firmware for it either, just plugged it in and it's been running great without any issues ever since!

Well the PS5 has gone down like a lead balloon. Put on Astro which was a sheer sense of joy until the kids couldn’t get up the platforms and got fed up, promptly asking “When can we play Halo?” :D

If Microsoft hadn’t taken Halo Infinite multiplayer off the Cloud gaming system everything would be solved but I can see me having to get a Series S now.

Guys, anyone with a desk setup for their console recommend some cheap usb speakers? I used to have some Creative Pebble speakers that did the job and then my daughter nabbed them and I’ve been using the monitor sound, but it’s terrible. I’ll probably the pebble speakes again as they’re £30 but just checking there wasn’t something better for similar price. Intend to use a headset but sometimes just use speakers occasionally.

If your monitor has a headphone 'out' port, you can just buy some non-USB speakers and plug them into that port. Something good and cheap like the Logitech Z200 would do the trick.
