What did the face hugger eat to become so ****ing big?
It looks like a cut scene from the start similar to what is shown in the storyboard.
I think thats the whole point though, he's an android trying to be human but because he's one of the earlier models, he just comes across as quite mechanical in his mannerisms.
Well, that was completely unsurprising. It's basically what he was told to say.
Yup, bit of a let down, would have been better if he was baiting the engineer.
Apparently Scott has said on the DVD/BR release there will be an extended dialogue between David and the engineer.
That'll rescue the film, for sure.
I'm not sure if it's been posted but it's been revealed what David said to the engineer:
“This man is here because he does not want to die. He believes you can give him more life.”

Confirms one thing I thought
The cinematic qualities of this film are top notch and definitely carry the film. It's enjoyable and watchable from start to finish.Still think people are being massively over critical of this movie
Just got back from watching this.
Visuals = 10/10
Script = what script
Storyline = 2/10
Ok maybe I was expecting too much...i was expecting something like Event Horizon. What I got was a theme park ride. Also why cant they get a LITTLE technically correct on the spaceship scenes? You cant hear spaceship engines in an almost total vaccuum.
Also they are entering the turbulent atmosphere of this planet and many of the characters strap in (pleasantly surprised there lol!) but then the Captain STANDS UP and walks over to this DJ stand lmao. Immersion killer. Why do they have these fail moments?
Why didnt they lower the window sheilds for atmosphere-entry?
Having said that the landing sequence was great. The story was one big mess though, WTH was the point of Therons character btw? Also the brunette girl is far hotter than her (the one who underwent a CS in the surgical pod).
I honestly don't understand all the fuss about Theron. She's too skinny, she looked androgynous in this movie, and her character was a copy/pasted bitch from Ridley Scott's 'big bag of Hollywood stereotypes.' So where's the attraction?
