I have got this for the Ps5 already, but do I 'double dip', that's the question.
I often wonder how difficult it would be for these games to offer a first person experience of the same game. would it work?
3rd person seems to make sense on a controller, so the obvious choice on a PS5 game, but there are plenty of people who play first person shooters on controller too.
3rd person on mouse and keyboard seems weird, though i admit i haven't given it a lot of time. i find first person more immersive, and i'm not trying to "look around" the player all the time.
Looks like a good game.
Yeah! It's got a great creepy vibe to it - kinda like Prometheus (only good) - played it for around 2.5 hours so far and only died twice but uncovered a whole bunch of weird stuff. Runs very well too aside from some occasional minor stutter (nothing game-breaking though). The particle system is amazing - reminds me of Control's fluid dynamics for the smoke.Must say, really enjoying this so far !
Yep - even has menu options for HUD elements when using ultra wideMight buy this if it supports ultrawide
The default control layout is also awful on PlayStation. Although attempts at using more recommended layouts helped, the aiming just felt terrible on controller.Heard someone else mention k+m is better. I thought with it being a PS game the controler would be better?
Didn't have any trouble aiming with the controller but I guess it's a matter of preference and what you're used to.
I don't think I'd ever want to play this on KB+M as the movement is just as crucial as aiming and there's not enough aiming precision required to really warrant slouching over my desk with kb+m.
Movement itself is more precise on controllers, aiming is not but it's very manageable and fun especially that Dualsense gives you some amazing haptic feedback in this, something you won't get on kb+m.
Tried it out, meh doesn't seem like my sort of thing but the benchmark is one of the most comprehensive screens since Shadow of the Tomb Raider so props to that.
Although... If you are on Windows 11 22H2 then the benchmark results are completely void because the game does not use the correct method to get CPU usage. Apps like RTSS fixed this a while back and Nvidia did more recently with the GFE overlay stats. Seems Epic did not consider this and as a result, CPU usage is just not accurate as you can see:
With Epic settings and all RT on and DLSS Quality. Had to replace the DLSS dll as it uses version 2.4.1.
