Can't see England qualifying from here... **** poor mistakes again, crap handling of the ball, awful decision making has cost them. Australia will punish that even more so than an under strength Wales have.

It's gone awfully quiet in here. Don't know how we will come with 5 injuries.

You will be fine. Your B team beat England so you will go about beating the rest of the group fine, you prob won't beat the Aussies but England won't either so I wouldn't worry.

Aussies to top the group, Wales runners up and sorry England following the football team and out in the group stages.

So disappointed with that, Wales did well but England should have put that to bed in the second half. Farrell wasted a number of opportunities by kicking the ball away.

Got to hope for a miracle and beat the Aussies next week now :(

England lost all forward momentum in the second half when Youngs went off. Lancaster picked a starting back line with no spark and the replacement backs were all play it safe picks. The back 3 can't win you games if you don't find them some space and in the second half Wales denied England any and England couldn't force any.

I was at Twickenham and the mood was somber. It was a slow motion car crash you could feel the game slipping away for the final 20 mins.

Well played Wales

First rugby match I've properly watched, I thought we were supposed to be good (well, better than the Welsh) :( why didn't they go for the option which would have meant a draw?

Perhaps because they thought they were better than Wales and could force the try. Or perhaps because there's a good chance they'd have been derided as being less adventurous than Japan by going for a draw in the final couple of minutes. Either way hindsight makes it look like a very poor choice.

England looked like the better team for pretty much all of the first half and Wales did well to keep it so close, for the second there wasn't much in it but Wales just had the edge even with all the injuries and were the more dangerous team with a couple of pretty good chances.

I was surprised not to see England go for the draw, it's not the result they would have been hoping for (and arguably less than they would have deserved) but you'd have thought/hoped that the team would recognise that pragmatically a draw was probably all they could realistically hope for at that point.

I thought they didn't kick because the kick angle made it too risky? Very miss-able kick that one, and then people would have said we should have been brave like Japan.

Look it's clear that England were the better team for most of the game, but as ever the Welsh hate us so much they're prepared to hurt themselves and sustain multiple injuries (including a boot in the head for one lucky punter) just to beat us.

Good luck to them. I still think England will qualify.
