[just before disaalowed Fiji Try] The commentators talking guff about England twisting the scrum to protect Ford. Fiji would want the scrum turned that way as it neutralises the Eng back row and the scrum half can't get there. Any experienced 8 or 9 will tell you that the loose head side is never your preferred pick and go route. I can't believe a former England 8 talking such rubbish.
It's proving to be quite an exciting game for the neutral so far. I'd have to admit that I was a bit disappointed when Fiji didn't score their first "try" as it was such an exciting break but the cross field kick for their scored try was pretty good as well.
I haven't seen it from the side but for England's second try was it forward to Mike Brown? I thought it was on the first viewing but haven't seen another angle which shows it any better. It would be tremendously harsh if it wasn't given but it's more a question to see whether anyone else thought that about it.
//edit England have had some good passages of play and here's hoping for an exciting second half.
Cannot imagine the pressure a player must feel taking a conversion kick in front of thousands of spectators and millions of tv viewers, must be immense. Have to stay super cool to do it.
Good second try by Mike Brown, it looks as if England are just that bit fitter and could sneak in another try in the final few minutes. It's been testing for them in stages but overall that would be a pretty successful evening in many ways.
Bold decision giving that try, three angles it didn't look like a try from and one which it looked like it might have been. I guess you give the benefit of the doubt to the attackers though where possible.
Some fantastic tackling from the Fijians in the run up to the try but not quite enough.
