Final Galaxy Note 9 Android Pie update possibly coming by January 15
Now, it’s worth mentioning that Samsung Turkey is listing the 15th day of the month for each device: January 15th for the Galaxy Note 9 and February 15th for the Galaxy S8, S8+, and Galaxy Note 8. Samsung Turkey also has a history of changing the dates on its update roadmaps. That said, since Samsung has been so quick with the Android Pie update for the Galaxy S9 in some markets, it’s totally possible the final Galaxy Note 9 Pie update may indeed start rolling out by mid-January.

The January 15th date may just be for Turkey and a few other markets, though. It remains to be seen when the worldwide release for both the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 will happen, and we can only hope Samsung doesn’t take a lot of time for that after the impressively quick initial release of the S9 update in some countries.

I don't have an icon size option? Do you mean in the main system settings or settings for the default launcher?

Either way I see no option to change icon size. Only grid size

You can only change font and screen zoom ..a theme might be able to give you slightly smaller icons

Well I've been using my note 9 with Pie and One UI since yesterday morning. Very impressed with the update but is it me or am I imagining it, over this morning and generally today the battery seems to have drained very quickly, I was down 25% by 10.30 and I wasn't using the phone any more than normal :-(

Mine was iffy for 1st day of update . It settled down next day after a full charge

Galaxy Note 9 users in Germany were one of the first to get the much-awaited OneUI-based Android Pie update. Today, a new update is available for German Note 9 users. This is the second minor software update for the Note 9 following its initial Android Pie release. It has little in the way of changes and new features and appears to be a quality-of-life update. The update is available over the air and should make its way to other regions in the next few days.

The update carries build number N960FXXU2CSA7 and weighs in at 129.42MB. The changelog isn’t particularly descriptive about what changes it brings, so they’re most likely bug fixes and optimizations

I don't know if this has been posted before, but I received the Android Pie 9 update today and it has put 2 side notes on my screens when touched just vibrate, similar to the edge panel notch.

the problem is these are getting in the way of apps especially messaging apps and it it causing major problems sending messages.

anyone know what these are and how to turn them off?

Did you have Good lock 2018 installed ?

Samsung had a lot to show off about the Galaxy S10 at the official launch, but it naturally left out of the smaller things. You know, like how the Galaxy S10’s Bixby key can be remapped to launch any app the user wants. And if you have been wondering if the remapping feature will come to your current Galaxy flagship, then you’ll be happy to hear that it will.

Samsung has confirmed that Bixby key remapping will come to older flagships like the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S9, and Galaxy Note 9 through a software update.

Will make a nice camera button
