Galaxy Note 9 camera improvements

- Camera picture quality has been improved.
- Brightness of faces in backlit conditions has been improved.
- Day/Night HDR control accuracy has been improved.
- Low light brightness and SNR (Signal Noise Ratio) has been improved.

The company has focused on software features to enhance the Galaxy Note 9’s imaging chops from the get-go. The Galaxy Note 9 is Samsung’s first smartphone with Scene Optimizer. This artificial intelligence-based feature can study the subject and scene before matching them to 20 presents automatically. The presets include landscapes, food, portrait, animals and more. Flaw Detection is another feature that informs users with a pop-up notification if they take a blurry photo or if someone in the photo blinked.

See BTU is lagging behind on updates as usual again .. Still not got 01 September patch yet

I may have to buy a iPhone one day and try it...

I never owned an iPhone before as I was put off them big time due to having an ipod many years ago before the iPhone came out and it was tied to this crap called iTunes or something like that and I could not just drag or copy & paste files from & to It I had to use this nightmare iTunes software to transfer files..

Don't your have terrible buyers remorse :p

I just don't understand the notch its like putting a 20cm x 5cm strip of black gaffer tape on the left hand side of my TV ;)

Just give me the full screen !!

I Find my note 9 seems to really use up a lot of battery when it just in standby...

Am going keep an eye on it..

Mine been bit iffy last day or 2 as well I'll keep my eye on it too (sure its due to some app updates)

On another note ;) glad I didn't wait for the pixel 3xl and the notch of shame

Can someone recommend a good screen protector for the Note 9 that isn't a silly price, one that has full front coverage and doesn't have gaps at the top where it drops down.

Bit of a minefield either crappy cheapo or expensive whitestone

I've got an edge adhesive tempered glass from amazon for about £9 doesn't go right to the top or bottom I'd say bout 3mm short on both. The reason I bought it is I have the LED case on and after having that on my Note 8 with out a screen protect I noticed quite few micro scratches where the lid of the case had ground against the screen when dust/sand got on it

Have look here

https://www.sammobile.com/2018/10/18/galaxy-note-9-october-security-update

Samsung released two Galaxy Note 9 software updates in a short span of time recently, and another one is now making the rounds. The latest update brings with it the security patch for the month of October. That’s it. No camera improvements are part of the package this time, which is why the update is only around 70 MB in size.

Simfree BTU should get this mid November then

:D :D :D

True!

A weird thing happened, after the update my 4G signal disappeared, I tried to reset all the network settings and nothing seemed to work. However when I put the sim into SIM2 it worked again. I put it back into SIM1 and it's back to normal now.

Pretty weird, not sure if it was related to the update or not.

My notification sounds stopped after update had to disable then enable to fix

End of the Notch YAY

@doodah

I noticed massive battery drain over several nights while in Amsterdam last week 40%+ loss, decent enough connection and this continued at home last 2 nights . So after October update I cleared the cache yesterday and overnight I lost 5% might be worth a punt see if it helps you
