*** The Official Samsung Galaxy Note II Thread ***

My mate had one of those flip cases where you have your cards in the flap when he first got his Note 1, but then one of his cards somehow scratched his screen (I imagine it was something stuck on his card/trapped between the cards and the screen since it should be impossible for a plastic card to scratch the screen :D), so he replaced it with the one where it replaces the back.

Now he just doesn't use a case because he got sick of it :p.

If I were to get a case I'd just get a normal one, not a flappy one, they just seem like they'd be too annoying.

I am using a cheapo wrap around type thing. Just to easy my phobia of dropping it, because ... I dreamt I was showing it off to a 6' squirrel and he droped it and it smashed into 1000 pieces.

I've been using the Zenus Masstige Lettering Diary flip case for about 2 months now, it does add a bit of bulk to the phone, but like anything else you get used to it. I've actually started carrying my cards in it now, so i can leave my wallet at home, which i like. I also find the flip front can sometimes make holding the phone more comfortable, though other times it can be a bit of a pain, just depends how i'm holding it really if that makes sense.

Quality wise it's very good, still looks and feels brand new. Phone is held is tight and doesn't drop out, and it's about as well protected as you can get.

Only down side really for me is that the screen always seems oily, finger marks don't get rubbed off like they would if the phone was just in my pocket with nothing covering the screen. But i guess a better quality screen protector could help with this.

hmmm, theres quite a lot of threads on their forums about it, funnily enough If I start the app on wifi and then turn off the wifi it works, im with Tesco Mobile so maybe thats the issue being a "virtual" network as such?

I'm on giffgaff. I did launch it on wifi first actually, then switched to 3g and relaunched it.

Been on the tvcatchup forums and people commenting on it on gifgaff too, I think there actually aware of the problem now so hopefully a fix is on the way. When i first noticed it I had the same problem with sky go but thats now sorted and working fine

You should just enjoy your phone and not worry too much about the next iteration. There's always going to be a better model on the horizon, that's tech for you. I tell you one thing I will be enjoying mine thoroughly for the next 2 years.

Wrote this with the S-pen :D

Got a flip case and to test it I closed the case and punched my phone relatively hard, but obviously not full force. Perfectly fine :)
