What download speeds do people get through this phone? I'm only getting 30Mbps on a 60Mb broadband service. That's on a 5GHz network with the phone right next to the router (Asus RT-66NU).
 
For WiFi I have no idea, don't think I've even connected mine to WiFi yet since my data connection is 3 times the speed of my ADSL :(.

For data I get 14Mbit/s max, 12.5Mbit/s average at home :). Obviously that just depends on signal though.
 
Hmm, I've just noticed my phone is never reverting to 3G from H when idle. I also have wakelocks indicating (I can't remember if it used to revert to 3G on other ROMs or if these wakelocks were there on other ROMs as I've only just installed BBS) fast dormancy isn't supported by my network.

I'm with Three, fast dormancy seemed to work fine on my S2 with a Three SIM in the same locations so I'm not really sure what the issue is now :/.

Anyone else noticed that it's staying on H rather than reverting to 3G like it should when idle? It does go H+ (in use) > 3G (for a millisecond after data stops being used) > H (which is where it stays when idle).

Hmm, disabling fast dormancy still leaves it sat on H instead of 3G, I guess that's just how it's supposed to be :shrug:.

Just a note...

Getting much improved battery life by removing Samsung email client and flashing the AOSP one :)

Before I had my personal exchange which wasn't great and my work one would cause a permenant wake lock so I had to remove.

Both in AOSP working sweet :D

Where did you get the AOSP one from? also how did you delete the old one?
 
I'm having a right dunce moment I think but when I switch my phone to vibrate it doesn't seem to vibrate when I get a text. It does however vibrate if I get a notification/message on Facebook. Any ideas?
 
What apps are people currently using to overclock their Note 2's and monitor CPU control / battery use etc.

I've been using ROM Toolbox for a few weeks and noticed my phone was becoming much more laggy and buggy so just decided to do a 3D benchmark using Quadrant and only got a score of 3900. Uninstalled Rom Toolbox and now getting 6500+ so not going to be using that anymore.

Any other recommended apps for rooted devices to adjust CPU frequency and alter governors to save battery?
 
Stweaks. On a Samsung phone you shouldn't be using anything else.

I get just under 8k with a cpu ocuv and gpu uv.

I have been looking for one of these on the net and comparing prices.

I am looking to replace my home phone, broadband and current cheap mobile contract so want a high mins, effectively unlimited txt and data plan that allows tethering.

This appears to be the best plan I can find, am I missing something as its so much cheaper than going via 3 direct?

I have just had mine delivered on that deal from the same company and if you do it via Quidco you will get £40 back too :)
 
Just been playing with mine all weekend and I'm in love with it. Well mainly the screen, but compare this to my old atrix and this is lightyears ahead.
Now excuse me I'm off to play some more plants vs zombies :)
 
My sisters N2 has finally arrived after a 6 week wait due to no stock at T-Mob.

Lets hope she like's it - she has an S2 currently.
 
Help me make up my mind chaps. I was about to place an order for a note 2, when I heard the s4 is due to be released in a couple of months. Would any of you trade your note for the s4? Shall I go for the note 2. Push me off the fence please.
