****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II ACCESSORIES Thread***

Don't know what's popular but the best is probably the Zenis one.

1: It can charge and sync when connected to a computer
2: It looks as sleek as the phone itself.
3: It can be used with or without a case.
4: Doesn't require any force to attach/detach, just a gentle plonk/lift.

Crap sorry just seen the previous page lol
That the same one I assume...erm..best available from????
Looking at the auction place is seems to only come from South Korea?..nothing more local?

Hmm think im going to give the desktop version a go.

Oh what the hell...the USB connection doesn't sync with the PC connection?

Thats a HUGE WTF right there!

I ordered one of those official Samsung screen protectors, I hope they aren't a pain to apply. The cheap screen protector I've got on is useless, lots of bubbles and I'm sure it's affecting screen quality.

Received mine and installed it today. Started off fine but then 1 speck of dust managed to get stuck near the top. Trying to remove it caused me to end up with 4 or 5 specks and bubbles everywhere. The squeegee provided even left some marks on top. £3.50 down the drain.

So basically, it should be ok if you get a perfect application first time. ANy messing around and it goes rubbish.

I'll prob order another soon though.

As above, I tried the official Samsung screen protector and had a few bubbles. Tried reapplying it and squeegying the bubbles out, which caused marks on the screen protector, so I just binned it.

Currently got the InvisibleSHIELD on. Very easy to apply and super tough, but has a slight orange peel effect and you can definitely notice and feel it is there. Has a kind of rubbery feel.

Ordered the SGP Steinheil Ultra Oleophobic. Hopefully this will be better than the others.

Case-wise, I'm using the Casemate Barely There in silver. It's a solid fit and pretty good, but I guess the silver/chrome look is starting to go out of fashion :p Tempted to order the Zenus Air Skin Jacket in Silver.

top tip for applying screen protectors, have some sellotape handy, if you have a dust particle use a piece of sellotape to lift the screen protector at the edge nearest and use another piece to lift the dust off the underside,

since i learnt this ive never had an issue

Thanks. Good idea. The problem is when the dust particle manages to get stuck to the sticky underside of the protector. :'(

Simply create a reduced-dust environment. I did this by first dusting a surface in my bathroom and wiping it down, i then turned on the hot tap on the shower and closed the door and left the room for 10 mins.

When i came back in the room was incredibly steamy (the steam reduces the amount of dust in the air) and i could then fit the screen protector without any dust issues, i've also read that the steam helps when it comes to removing air bubbles. End result is that you can't even tell there's a screen protector on.

thats what im talking about tho, use sello tape on the outerside to life it up from a corner and then use a piece to take the particle from the sticky underside when its raised

works a treat

I bet I could tell! :p

Good idea with the steam though.

In terms of visibility alone, i bet you a million billion you couldn't tell. However as soon as you touch it and realize it isn't as silky smooth as the real screen and that grease sticks just that little bit more, yes it's easy to tell :)

Someone had suggested putting clingfilm on your work surface as it tends to attract the dust and that's what I did, but it still happenned.

Will try the combined steam and tape trick next time. Thanks.

Otherwise the official protector looks and feels good, better than the unbranded one I had before.

Just applied the official Samsung screen protector to my brand new GS2 and I'm not fully impressed. There is a diagnol streak in the screen protector that looks like it's a factory fault or something, it'll do till I get another one but still for an apparently official product it's not ideal.

i had the same but it had gone by the following day

Guys could you recommend the following please ?

1. A good quality discreet case. (up to £25, possibly stretch to £30 if its worth it.)
2. Good quality screen protector (up to £10, possibly a bit more if its worth it)

I would be most grateful.
