And SwitchPro won't toggle the GPS when I tried it. Installed 'Extended Controls' as a last resort. No go, GPS and 2G/3G toggles the settings page arrgh..

I seem to recall that Android had a change in Froyo meaning that without root 3rd party apps couldn't have access to the GPS setting.

I thought it was was Gingerbread, but yeah I remember something like that as well. GPS won't switch but 3G does with SwitchPro.

Do whatever other people have suggested and keep it if it works. Personally I like widgetsoid the best and don't want to clutter my system with other stuff so I use the power button.
Anyone else feel like the battery life is worse on KE7? Might just be the placebo effect having read others seem to feel it's worse but today I've had it of charge 10 hours 40 mins and I'm @ 48% with only 75 mins screen on and maybe 45 mins of music and general checking twitter/facebook.
I did flash @ about 50% battery so I might let it get right down and see how it is tomorrow then factory reset or just go back to KE1 which I had before.

True. I use the gps short cut in the notification menu for that.

Isyncr I think is what you're referring too. I use it on my mac (Kies seems to die on its backside after I've imported 8000 songs) - syncs an itunes playlist no problem once you set it up. Think there is a wifi version as well.

The dock I bought from eBay arrived today, it came with some extra "gifts" consisting of a screen protector (balls), capacitive stylus (balls) and a fake leather pouch (balls). It came with an AC power plug too but the plug only output 0.8 amps over 5v so wasn't going to charge the phone faster than my Logitech charger so I binned it.
Anyway, regardless of whether you use it AC or USB it still is seen as a USB power source by the phone so the AC part is irrelevant unless you don't have a PC/TV nearby to connect it to.
Build quality is fine, the phone docks snugly without any cases.
Heck they're so cheap I might just get another one once variations become available and see if that fits with case on a bit better...

Not a happy bunny!! Accidently put my phone in same pocket as my car keys (drunk of course) now i have a nice fine 1 inch scratch going across the screen!!! I was going to get a screen protector but few people on here said not to bother as it has this bulldog screen which you cant scratch? Wish i did now!!
Also when tilting the phone to text in landscape mode it isnt working now. I have checked motion settings, and all the options in messaging and cant find anything to enable/disable. Even turned the phone on off etc etc. Any ideas guys??
