I bought these screen protectors http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150817739...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_1385wt_1199

I recommend them to everyone, clear and smooth, and you get enough so that you can replace every month or two for a fresh one.

Also bought this case with union jack design, will see how it works out http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110899812...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_3696wt_1270

Is the screen protector edge to edge with the hole for the home button and hear speaker?

I have tried few but they aren't edge to edge...

No 64GB card today, maybe tomorrow...

Something else did arrive today though, the Cellular Line Grip pad from mobilefun

I got this in to test if it would hold the S3 with a case attached and I got my answer.

YesNo.

Yes because it will hold the phone with the ROCK case and protect against slip from horizontal slip but go over a bump at speed and you will probably find the phone bouncing off somewhere!

The grip is rather epic when a case isn't used though, on anything that has a shiny surface it will grip like nobodies business.

My dash is matte and I found the pad to stick acceptably, not amazing as I can see it working loose over time and it can be peeled off quite easily. Non matte dashboards will see it sticking with brutal force though. Basically any shiny or smoother surface and it's a winner.

I would not use it regularly with a case like the ROCK attached to the phone because of the lack of adhesive grip on such cases, only use with shiny cases or caseless. It's perfect for holding pens/key fobs and whatnot though.

Some other pics:

I then rinsed it under the water to remove some lint and placed it on the tabletop for a few seconds....went to pull it away and...

Looks like I've made myself a re-varnishing job for the weekend... :/

For £8, it's pretty decent, you don't even need the whole pad to grip a phone, just half is enough so could cut it in 2 and use one half elsewhere around the car or home for non slip items.

What have you used to stick the CR115 down on that surface?

Ok I'm no robbie khan and the lighting was poor but I took a few shots of the metal back cover I bought.

Metal cover is black plastic around the edge and inside, I THINK it is aluminium on top.
Quality is excellent apart from one imperfection on the black plastic which you might be able to see in the pictures.
Edges of the case sit flush with no gaps.
The rock case does not fit on the phone with this cover on.
This metal cover alone is obviously less bulky than having the rock cover on.

I'm going to give it a test run for a couple of days.

Looks pretty nice, much better than the standard blue back! Although don't like the mixing colours at the side.

Also have you got the first version of the PB GS 3? Looks really really blue there (the side photo).

Nah that's just the light, the blue is the same as the cover. I did notice the oily effect under yellow light today though... luckily it is only on the back cover. Moved to different light and it was completely gone!

Ah ok, reason I asked is cause that has to be the bluest GS 3 I have seen so far :p

Amazing the way this phone has so many colours to it :D

Oooh... that looks quite nice. Thanks for the pics and let us know who it holds up after a few days usage.

I will continue waiting for my perfect battery cover though.

This is the one I bought guys

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180899032715&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123

I have to admit the reception maybe slightly worse. At work where I get just about 1 bar on three in a very specific location on my desk I am no longer getting that 1 bar... Can't comment on areas I have a good signal yet.

The metal is slightly raised where the camera is, the same as the stock back cover :)

I like the fact there is less bulk on the metal cover but the signal issue is definitely letting it down!
