Loving it so far, is there still no way to set an mp3 as a ringtone other than to download a file explorer?

How do you cange the annoying water tones.

With regards the backlight GLOW! I wouldnt let that put you off if you are humming and hawin over it.

Just need to find a decent ringtone now as the phones are alright if your female.

yeah i thought the call quality was abit off too compared to my HTC sensation,wasnt sure if it was the phone or the fact ive just changed from o2 to vodaphone

i actually like the backlight glow , it has a soft calming effect to it :D

im not overly convinced with the audio/music playback ,its good but was expecting better than my sensation xe with beats audio,using the same headphones (admittedly the beats ones) the music on the HTC has more punch to it than the S3,i wish the s3 would go higher than level 15 on the volume tbh,but the phone its self is gorgeous :D

First thing I did was install Zedge and find an actual phone tone. Can't stand all the Samsung ones, they are stoooopid.

Of course beats with the beats headphones are are going to be very good out the box as the sound levels have been setup up perfect for the headphones, Download a music player that lets you setup equilizers.

I just use mp3 files for tones, blips and alert beeps. I don't do "ringtones" or anything like that :D That way, only I know what that short quarter second blip was :p

already have done ,got it sounding better now but still dont think it sounds as good as the sensation ,sounds good tho :)
 
Is there any way to control your music player's play/pause/previous/forward in the lock screen like you do on the iPhone. In fact, does the remote do much other than volume up/down and play/pause?

Also how do I enable USB Mass Storage Mode because I use DoubleTwist to sync my iTunes playlists, and if I can't enable that, then I have to sync wireless via AirSync.

me ? no not really i do listen to a lot of old dance music (house/trance) which isnt overly bassy,but listen to a lot of rock'ish music too , oasis,sterphonics and RnB that kind of stuff which isnt overly bassy either :)
 
So, how good is this phone then? I ask because Samsung have just kindly chosen me as the winner of their S3 competition so one should be arriving very soon. :D

I've had an iPhone since launch, so I'm hoping it won't be too hard to adapt.
 
I have noticed that only the stock Samsung TW launcher is super-duper smooth.

Other launchers such as GO and Apex have slight stutters - disappointing.
 
So now that you have all had time with your white phones, whats the verdict?

I am almost gagging to get a new phone tomorrow when i go into town, my desire has been out of contract for a week odd now lol. Dunno whether to wait for blue or go for white, not a massive fan of either in the first place tbh i would have preferred black.

Also my tmobile upgrade deals after 2 years are apparently no different to the new customer deals so am thinking of moving to 3 on the one plan. 3 from t-mob a good idea? Based in Derby.

The wait will be worth it! My dad likes his white one but I think he likes the Zenis dock even more lol.

Sadly though, he's already applied the "'Scuze me boss, you have a text message" style tones and installed a task manager/Antivirus..... Some people you can never get to learn!
