***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

Definitely no blotches on my s2,dad's s3 or uncle's s3 either.

Also just seen the blue s3 in p4u and am glad I waited as the blue looks a lot nicer than the white, it's the the way the brushed effect glistens under the glass.

£600 sim free there too!!

Did you test this in a dark room mate? Only ask as i been googling this on my breaks at work all day and seems its defo not just me. I did post a picture but that got removed i think. But from what i gather, the PS Vita has the same issue and is common across the board on them.

Not sure if its cause for a replacement or if its just gonna be more of the same or even worse :/

Didnt know that mate, they look fine to me though i am colorblind. But as i said its when u look at a black screen in a dark room but defo something odd about it.

Here is a thread with same issue there is also a pic uploaded there to see what i am on about. Would appreciate people testing theirs to see if its just routine or if i need to get a replacement.

Also have been reading through my t&c but cant find info on warranty. Whats the norm with 2 year phone contracts. Are you covered for faulty hardware for the full two years or would you have to pay for repairs etc?

Not talking about accidental damage, just for example if my screen started acting up etc?

Here is another example pic, a lot like what i see on my s3 with the lines and dots.

If it looks like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26821817&postcount=30 I'd ask for replacement

K will go in on weds n see about a replacement, but judging by my experience with 3 on the phone today for my abysmal data speeds i wont hold my breathe. Feels like a missale them gabbing about their awesome data network and then me getting such **** speeds.

Sorry dude just checked side by side again and nowhere can I see blotches like that! It's interesting to note though that the s3 amoled on a black screen is visible in pitch darkness whereas the s2 one is barely visible at all. Probably due to pentile array vs rgb or something.

Cheers man, will go in on weds and hope they will give me a replacement there n then, not want to send it off to get mangled and scratched at a repair shop :/

Anyone know anything about my data issue. Stood with a friend today on his one x, he is on 3s ultimate something or other plan with all u can eat, i am on the one plan.

He was getting 4.5meg down and 2.2meg upload with the speedtest app. I was getting 900k down and 500k up :/

Almost like i am penalised for being on the one plan. Nowhere near FUP i only got the phone yesterday and barely touched it lol

Oh i have that on my 7 month old s2 but it never bothered me as i dont look at black screen for fun :-D i can only see it in pitch black room and still its VERY hard to notice

Bit useless in german - I speak English
English subtitles, you can read, right?

Btw, like I said. Lighting.

UPDATE: Samsung has confirmed that there is no further delay to the pebble blue model of the Galaxy SIII for the US and that the appearance hasn’t changed. So I guess the video just has some really weird lighting. Upsetting, since I love the gray color. Oh well, blue is nice too…… I want one either way.

I'm on the one plan and as my SS shows I can get 5.2 down with 3.4 up!

Just been having a proper look at some of the photos I've taken with my S3 (as in putting on the PC and looking at them on a big screen) and either I've been doing something wrong or the quality of snaps is noticeably WORSE than my S2.. massively disppapointed :(

settings are super fine / max res obviously but they just look plain bad!
