***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

After months of rumors Samsung has officially announced the world will meet the next Galaxy phone in London on May 3rd with this invite, first received by Dutch site Tweakers.net. While most speculation will immediately focus around something we're expecting to arrive as the Galaxy S III, the BlackBerry World-spoiling invite is conspicuously devoid of details like name or specifications. The original Galaxy S and GS2 are already million unit sellers many times over since first launching two years ago and have led the Android pack for most of this time, so what will Samsung do to top itself this time? (Answer: not 3D, and it's probably a little too late for another Continuum-like gimmicky split display.) There are just 17 days left until we find out for sure.

Samsung did say they wanted to announce closer to the release date so it could even be out very soon after.

I'm ok waiting, I just want to know that my wait, when I could have picked up a One X, is worth it. All I really want is the storage!
 
im looking forward to seeing this, having had a S2 and now a Galaxy Nexus. even thought I'm currently out of contract i will properly abstain from purchasing this one out right as expecting my first born in the summer and need to stop buying lovely gadgets and buy nappies
 
Bummer, the SGS3 still uses a Mali 400 GPU then.

I can't believe Samsung let Meizu announce it before them, the Exynos 4412 is not even official yet. :D
 
Sammy Hub are saying the colour patches hint at the richness of the screen, I think they are more likely hinting at the case. If there is a case with that blue texture I want it!

Those 3 blobs could mean anything. 3 galaxy models, the third galaxy etc
 
^ Nothing but it shows this is a minor "S" update to the Galaxy SGS2/Note line. Guess Samsung are waiting for W8.
