***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

Nowt really wrong with a 316ppi Pentile screen of the Nexus - what was lacking for me was the maximum brightness of only 250cd/m2 where the Galaxy s2 is 350cd/m2 and the One x id 530cd/m2.

RGB is the icing though and I hope the brightness is over 350 cd/m2.

Probably not, unless you need blacks and hate yellow tones. Power consumption is still a big factor for AMOLED. The smaller the pixel, the brighter it needs to shine. Hopefully they've used a better polarizer system, like ClearBlack, so they don't necessarily need to go above 200nits for the whole panel.

Wonder why no-ones developed a RGBW AMOLED? You'd get perfect blacks, whites, high brightness with relatively low power use.

Here's a pic of the test mule.

Too big for me :(

^ The SGS2 HD has a 16:9 screen. This one is 5:3*, like the note and SGS2. (Guess it's something like a ~4.5" WXGA, which means it does't need the extra length of a 16:9 for software buttons)
That means it's wider than the One X and too big for me, bah.

Hopefully the smaller I9300 will deliver the goods. (and that horrible leaked pic was just a mule too :))

*Or 8:5/16:10
