***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

Has anyone installed the app Granny Smith on their GS3 and found a problem. I have tried two games by the same developer and they both lag a lot, compared to very high gfx intensive games like Asphalt or something.
Seems odd, so wondering if its the app.
 
Thinking about picking one of these up tonight. Are they easy too root?

I have no experience with Android phones been on iOS too long.

What is the best and least risky way of rooting?

Not possible. Gmail will poll the account at set intervals determined by how frequently it finds new emails. What that means is:

1. Poll account
2. If new emails, retrieve and poll interval decreased
3. If no new emails, poll interval increased

Rinse and repeat.

Basically, if you get frequent emails then Gmail should poll it quicker than a quiet account.

Just ordered a white S3 to replace my 4S

I have an S3 through work what's the best browser to view this forum all the ones I have tried look a bit blurry.
Guess I better get an SD Card ordered.

I use Dolphin browser with s3, set it to desktop mode as well :-)

Best I have used on a portable device.

installed on my HP touchpad as well :-)

Just installed it on my work s3 and it's looking good!

Ordered a dock, case and a 32gb micro sd card. And also screen protectors anything I have missed? :)
 
Stick it in a bowl full of rice, take the battery out and back cover off as well, keep it in there for a few days then try it again.


Regarding browsers, dolphin......... pfffft! :p

Quick ics browser is where it's at! :p

I've just checked the one I used for the S2 and it doesn't appear to work. I think I remember others saying this was the case :(

**EDIT** Has anyone tried one of these? It actually looks like a better option as you don't need a seperate HDMI cable. It says it's compatible with the S3, I might give it a go...

**EDIT2** I see some comments saying it doesn't work on the S3 :(
