Been an avid user of omega but went to Wanamlite v3.1 the other day and ive NEVER had better battery life or anything close to this on Omega

Was 2 days 17hrs with 3 hrs screen time earlier today with 9% left

Omega seems to be bloating out a bit, similar to foxhound has in the past.

Solid and stable on Wanamlite on v3.1

Yeah that's why I went away from omega aswell, they've been adding this and that here and there with the past few releases and I have always ended up removing the custom stuff (themes etc)

Did you do a full wipe before switching?
 
I've noticed a lot of these custom roms don't work with sim locked phones. Is there a fix for this? I am trying to run omega on my s3 that was originally on tmobile but I'm now using it on o2. Thanks in advance

Yeah had to.

Also haven't installed facebook app this time as ive suspected it for a while as a battery muncher, just got a few sync apps to pull pics and stuff down instead

This morning, 1 day 1 hr on, 59 min screen, about 8 hrs wifi yesterday..... 74% left

Cant complain

Love SMSBackup + too, have it set to backup to gmail every morning with tasker, excellent app

This daily sniff at the finished product is getting very tedious. You begin to wonder whether the person(s) testing this actually has a test schedule or does fixes from the back of a fag pack. I'll wait for the finished product which will be arriving next week.

Omega would have the same battery life if you did a clean install. If you look at the ROM information they're all very much alike really.

SMSBackup+ has its own scheduler.

I did, countless times, V18 for me on omega would keep phone awake all the time with full wipe no other apps installed, with or without bloatware removed. It became gradually borked for me a while back so i eventually decided to ditch it and move on, everything much better on Wanamlite

As for SMSbackup+, i have other things i do at the same time so its scheduler isnt quite good enough.

Im not new at this..... ;)

Hi Guys, wonder if anyone can help. Tried to root my Three-branded S3 but having no luck. Made sure the USB drivers are in and that Odin can see the phone etc but when I come to root (using CFRoot v6.4) the device just reboots after the progress bar has finished. Am getting no lines of code etc

Tried it various times with various Odin iterations, any ideas anyone? The lure of the Jelly is too strong :D
 
I found an old 2GB micro SD card earlier, so I shoved it into my SGS3 and copied all my media across to it from the internal drive. Since then, I've had one random reboot and the camera app refused to work until I restarted. Generally, the phone feels slower for some reason.

It's all happened since I installed the card, but I can't work out why the phone itself would suffer. The crash came as I opened a link in Chrome from inside Play, so nowhere near the card.

Still, could this all be related in some way? The Camera app issues I could understand because the card is an old one, so no doubt a bit on the slow side.
 
Try backing up everything on the card to your PC, format the card then copy everything back to it... Had a similar thing happen to mine and the card file system had gone haywire, that fixed it :)
