***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

Don't think it can be done , I also got a 32gb card for this only to find out its not possible:mad:.

Hopefully a future update will correct this , I can't see why it can't be done.

There was a detailed post made a while ago that explained it's down to an inherent design fault in the way Android is put together iirc.
If you root your phone there are apps that will allow you to move some applications over to the SD card.

Any of you guys use the facebook app? Mine used to post the location I was in using the GSM network, whenever I did a post or an update. I like that feature, as it's meant in the past 6 months that friends who have been in the vicinity have met up with me for a drink/bite to eat/etc... as I travel a lot, and post a fair bit on FB I quite like that feature.

However, it doesn't work at the moment. I can actually "check in" if I am at somewhere specific, which I do do at times, but normally just posting an update will give the area in which I'm in. However, I don't want to "check in" everywhere I go or everytime I post something.

Any clues?

Have you turned off "Location" in the app settings?

No that's on - and when I do "check in" it has the network location name at the bottom in a black bar with a cross as I'd expect. And when typing a post/status the area name (for example Watford at the moment) comes up in the grey writing at the bottom right. However, when I click on post, it doesn't show up :(

Weighing up my options now, where's the cheapest place sim free for one of these. I want to be able to load on pdf's for work and manuals I presume there are no issues doing that on the samsung?

Guys .. am I missing something here? Why can't I move apps to my SD card? Went out and bought a 32gb class 10 just for that purpose! :(

I don't have a solution, just a question. Why do you need to? The 14gb~ available is ample for apps. Use your 32gb for photo/video storage and music :)

Got a stock three S3 here and the batteries gone from 100% to 75% and all I've done is taken one call lasting 5mins, went on the internet for 10mins and a few whatsapp chats. The WiFi is always on, could that be killing the battery?

I have my Wifi on, sync and with moderate use over 3G throughout the day, plus a few calls, by 10pm it's only down to about 15% after being fully charged at 6am. So I'd say there's something odd there.

We can't tell you what is killing your battery until you post up the screenshots of the battery stats.

Mines not rooted so I cant post screen shots.

Screen 44%
Cell standby 31%
Android System 11%
Android OS 5%
Voice calls 4%
Device Idle 3%

I expected device idle to be a lot higher than that. Something doesn't look right.

Everyone can post screenshots mate. If you goto settings > motion > hand motion you can enable palm wipe to capture and stuff will appear under.... /screenshots ( i think). It might also be home + power together, but i always use palm.
