Haha, i hate it when that happens. Ive nottried crdroid myself but have tried ultimarom, which was cool. Similar kind of thing i think with loads and loads of aroma options.
I'm not 100% sold on Sotmax yet. The rom itself is really nice and its definately smoother and snappier than wanam but the battery is nowhere near as good and theres still a bit of cleaning up of apps before its how i like (not too much of a problem). And the fading led still isnt working.
Regarding the battery, i'm wondering if Sotmax is making full use of the kernal features while wanam wasn't, which would also account for the increased snappiness. I had the latest yank on both with power settings. Gonna have a look into better battery stats.

Going back to Wanam today. Battery life on Sotmax was really poor. Lost 25% in 4hours 30minutes, with no gps/wifi/sync on. Also, my headphones are not working. I can play music through the phones speaker, as soon as i plug in the headphones i get nothing. I can use the inline controls on the headphones though. Strange.

Im on softmax v14 andI keep getting lock ups. Dont wipe date and factory reset. reflashed still the same.

I've had a couple of freezes, only few 2-3 sec's though. I'm just not sure.. I really like it and it is pretty quick, just not sure I prefer it to wanam or not. Not much in it I suppose so may as well go with the battery life of wanam...

Hah. I actually downloaded crDroid 13 last night. Going to flash it tonight I think, miss the touchwiz camera!

Were you using the boeffla sound option in the yank kernel? They're having problems with that at the moment
Not as far as I'm aware. Even if I got the headphones working, I couldn't put up with the battery life of Sotmax. Sticking with Wanam for now.
Having been on CM10.1 for over a month, I thought I'd try out a Touchwiz rom again. Put crDroid back on and I forgot how snappy it is! Just need to find a decent browser again. Used the aosp one on CM but it's giving me weird graphics glitches with this.
I'm back on wanam too. I really wanted to like sotmax, it is a really cool ROM and I dont think the battery is bad, just nowhere near as good as wanam, for me at least. And everything just seems to work with wanam too with minimum fuss. Sotmax is a lot speedier though and had some really cool features, I'm still using ubuntu font on wanam now. I also wish i could figure out a way of having the stock touch sounds rather than the sammy bloop...
Wasnt everyone using quick ics browser or something? I use chrome personally but thats so i can sync tabs across devices.
I agree about the battery. I lost 25% in 4 hours on the Sotmax rom. Today, back to Wanam, I've lost 12% in 5 and a half hours. No contest on which rom ill be sticking with.

I can regularly go 17 hours and still be on ~40% when I go to bed - my phone doesn't get a lot of deep sleep time but on occasion where I don't charge it overnight and I put it into flight mode, the battery drops maybe 2% in 7/8 hours
Did you let BBS run for a day or so to analyse drain? maybe the media scanner wakelock is kicking your battery's a$$?
25% in 4 hours is pants, fair play - but that's not ROM caused, there's a whole other reason behind that I can assure you!

I'm using sotmax v14 with that 555 kernel... I have no complaints.
Actually 38 hours odd between charge before plugging it in yesterday, just shy of 4 hours screen time, amazing when the on s barely made it through the day!

FYI: Sotmax is planning on uploading v15 tonight based on XXEMA2 so keep a look out, the download links tend to die quickly through overuse! lol (but don't get there before me!!)
If I was getting that kind of battery life I'd stick with it. 38 hours with 4 hours screen time is amazing. I could never understand bbs so did run it but the thing is, on wanam, I don't have to. I suppose it's horses for courses really. For me, if I could employ you guys to sort out my config I'd probably have stuck with sotmax cause I did really like it.
