Have you got facebook installed?

Same happened with my OH's Note. Facebook was hammering the processor while the screen was off while charging, very slow charging. A reboot sorted that out.

Yes, but I made sure to clear the RAM and close all running apps before I started charging...

Mine was waiting for me when I got home I've just plonked it in and out had 64% charge so we'll see how it goes with a train journey full of music and game playing

should be epic - as you know though it takes a good few charges to get the best out of it.

Hi all,

Over the last week my phone has been freezing with increasing regularity. I either have to reset it or leave it for 20 mins and it reboots itself.

Should I be looking at a software fix or is this a known fault?

It's on o2 and hasn't been rooted.

I don't think there has been an ota update? I connected it to kies and it told me firmware up to date. As to app updates then yeah definitely. Couldn't say which off hand though. Think it'd be worth doing a full back up and system restore?

There is something wrong with my charging...

Battery was down to 5%, and its been plugged in charging for about 8 hours, no wifi or data turned on, screen been totally off, and its only got to 54%?

This is not the only time, recently it has been charging veryyyyyy slow, even when its charging and im just viewing a website the battery will go down...not sure what's changed?

Try a different charger or cable. Lots of folks have had the same problem with the charging on a S3. The sammy charger has caused a lot of problems like this.

Can heat damage the phone to the point where it freezes every few minutes, even at normal temps? I replaced the screen yesterday using a heat gun to melt the glue, but now it's freezing on pretty much everything I do. I have to hold the power button down to restart it.

What is going on? :(

Edit: Removed the battery, put it back in and now it works perfectly. Very odd.

I had this issue for a few weeks, posted about it last week and the phone died the next day, wouldnt charge or turn on, sent off for repair came back with original hardware and battery yet it now works, charging okish still not as fast as it used to be, to put 27% in to make 100% took almost 3 hours yesterday.

Anyone recommend some decent music software for transfering music on the PC to the S3, used to use iTunes but it sucks, Samsung kies isn't that impressive either. Want something that allows me to organise music into correct file/folders easily. Using poweramp on the S3, is Winamp any good for the PC?

Had a lot of problems recently with my S3 randomly freezing and restarting
I tried a factory wipe and reset which made no difference.
I took it into the three store listed the problems told them I had already tried
a reset. They sent it off to be repaired, got the phone back this morning
and all they did to it was a reset!!!. The phone has frozen or restarted at
least half a dozen times today.
Had to spend £100 on a phone to last the week it was away and for what!.

I am now thinking of returning the phone to samsung for them to repair it however
will they repair a phone thats not a sim free phone?. Its a contract phone on three.

Has anyone sent their contract phone back to samsung for repair?.

I did, through CPW. I think all they ever do the first time is flash the latest firmware and send it back. My problem still existed, but I was able to show them this before I left the store. They then ordered me a new one on the spot.

This is still happening. I think I've ruined it. :(
