***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

However, the Touch Keys at the bottom of the phone have now stopped working! (The menu and back button)

They're not responding when pressed (if I change the light to always on they do light up)
What could have possibly gone wrong?!

It seemed to have fixed itself but recently I've been having the exact same issue reappear.

Has anybody else had this issue or just me?

This is my 2nd S3 that I've had in just over a year! The first had to be replaced because it kept freezing all the time.

Ive had that happen last week as it happens, i ended up factory resetting it, seems to have sorted it for now, have a new issue with mine, screen flickers on and off when im reading emails or browsing the net, doesnt seem to do it in games.

My S3 is grinding to a halt at the moment, might need a complete re-flash/reset.

I'm rooted, and have titanium backup etc... I'm just concerned that if I back up and restore it'll just be as it is. I am also loathed at losing all my settings (though they are google backed up - well the ones that can be.).

I'm running XXEMC2.

Phone just feels sluggish compared to a friend's S3, things like the screen rotating and hopping from menu to different screens.

Any suggestions?

Plenty of internal memory - that's what I don't get. Hmm, it won't be the end of the world doing a rest. It'll probably help me get rid of some apps I never use anyway.

What's the memory usage like? The S3 only has 1gb, I used to find it used most of that up, resulting in some apps dropping out of memory.

Seems ok, have about 220mb free. I'll clear the cache, and the temp files. It's more of a frustration rather than it being uber slow, it's just noticeably laggy.

I still have my S3. With the right custom rom (I used wanams) and tweaks the S3 should never really lag and be a zippy and smooth as they come. I have a hard time noticing any difference from my S4 tbh. I do spend a lot of time tweaking but that's the fun of Android. If things are just wrong. Wipe completely everything and start afresh. Then backup backup backup .

Sent my S3 off to get repaired again.
Lets see what happens in a week or so when I get it back.

So I've owned 2 S3s and both have had things go wrong with them... Bit disappointed

I'm getting really slow download speeds when I access files from my S3 to my PC over wifi. I get a max of around 700K/s which is painfully slow. Is that normal? I'm accessing my PC via the ES explorer app.

If I do speedtest via the app on wifi I easily reach 40kbps so I know the router (which a superhub 3) is fine.
