**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S10 Family Thread ****

I asked Three live chat why their S10 contract deals were so expensive compared to buying the phone plus a SIM only deal. He said that's because you have to pay 20% VAT with a contract phone which is spread over the 24 months. I said you have to pay the VAT when you buy the phone too! Response was 'well we have to make money somehow' :rolleyes:
 
All black units look pretty much out of stock on samsung.co.uk, just as I have been paid!

Can I expect this to come back into stock while the upgrade programme/trade in offer is still applied? Or perhaps this is a sign I should not buy..

According to live chat they are expecting more stock next week but they can't say if this will be before or after the offer expires. He said you can register to get stock updates.

According to Samsung customer service the trade in will stay open until end of march, free buds until 7th. And like RobK they hold be getting more stock next week
 
Upgrading from a Pixel XL to the S10, roll on Friday!
I've read that it comes with a factory fitted screen protector so I just need to get a decent light weight case for it.
 
Thanks Tobes, looks like you're correct - just had another chat session and this time they've confirmed the Buds offer is only available in white, so I've tried to cancel my order but this isn't possible as the order is preparing for dispatch. Just emailed the UK shop to see what my options are.
 
I did a live chat session and the Samsung rep said that the colour could be specified when the buds are claimed through the members app. It's a deal breaker if I end up with white buds.

sent an email directly to customer support and they said its white only with the preorder, even did a bit of begging with the old "I've been a loyal customer for x number of years etc",
wanted the black as well :(

end of the day its better than nothing I suppose.

Just disappointed that the first chat session told me I could specify the colour when I claimed through the members app - wouldn't have pre ordered otherwise.
 
Starting to have second thoughts on my purchase. For a start wouldn't the note 9 have more screen real estate since it has no camera holes in the screen meaning none of the picture is taken up by useless things in the way. Will still get it to see how I like it but have a feeling I will most likely end up sending it back and keeping my note 9. It does look like a great phone but from the note 9 to the S10 maybe more of an expensive pointless upgrade lol.
