Yep I was impressed by the actual video and not the clickbait thoughMore thumbnail click bait. Impressive regardless though, surprisingly stable too (for a phone).

Unless I have completely misunderstood your point that is just not the case. Can you not pick up any half decent bridge camera that can do 100x zoom (optical and digital combined admittedly) and beyond for well under £500? There's a Nikon that does 125x which is purely optical for £900.it is

I've read varying reports that the S20 Ultra has either 4x or 5x optical zoom. Everything above that is hybrid and at 100x, the S20 Ultra is definitely NOT high quality. It's a gimmick as many early commentators have said, though this doesn't mean it won't take high quality photos at lower levels of zoom.
If you want something that has 5x optical in a digital camera, a quick check on Argos shows you can get a Sony Cybershot with 5x optical zoom for 80 quid.
When something is 1200 quid and sold on the basis of how amazing the "100x zoom" camera is, people will have high expectations.
I hope the final product sets a new bar for camera phones, but I'm waiting to see some proper reviews. What I've seen so far looks ok-to-good, but I've seen plenty of decent low-light shots from other phones.

The low light performance is amazing!
