**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S21 Family Thread ****

S21 Ultra looks like a beast of a phone, if it didn't have a curved screen I would definitely consider it.

I guess S21+ is the obvious choice, just knowing could have got a bit higher specs makes it kind of annoying to get...

The screen curve is so minimal it's literally flat. Demo the S20 lineup to see the curve as its the same, that'll give you an idea.

I also used to think the curves would bother me. Now more than 6 months into the OnePlus 8 pro with major curves...it doesn't even enter my mind.

Curves are great for side swipe gestures.

To be fair my hate of curved screens is from my last Sammy phone, the S7 Edge. It was pretty pointless and I hated the way films etc would curve.

These days it's all about gaming - I'm a big mobile gamer (Mobile Legends) and the screen edges are important for pressing stuff in game, which is why I don't think I can use a curved screen.

Just pre ordered phantom black s21 ultra 256gb. Coming from a pixel 5 which is set to be one of the shortest periods of ownership in my entire phone history, but I couldn't resist, the ultra looks to be a beast and the first phone in years that actually seems to tick all of the boxes. Shame about the micro SD but I've managed without it for the last 4 years so I'm sure it'll be fine.

Well, what can I say I caved in I currently have a UK s20 ultra 512 I was going to wait until august and get the note 21 ultra but alas it's not going to happen, they are going to release a note 20 fe instead. so instead I have pre-ordered the Samsung galaxy s21 ultra 512, i had to get the silver as the black was out of stock gutted at that, but I suppose I won't see it in a case, from ee getting free buds and tag and the razer gaming controller and Xbox 12 months pass. I so wanted to get the note but it's not happening. Let's hope I made the right decision.

I've caved as well and ordered an ultra 512gb Navy, the standard S21 wasn't a big enough upgrade so thought I'd go all out. Hoping it ships earlier than 4 weeks but we'll see.

As for the freebies, will probably use the buds quite a lot but I think the smart tag will be a bit of a gimmick.

Does anyone know if the production phones will have a pre installed screen protector?
People are reporting that they're getting one in other markets, can't guarantee it in the UK though. I don't think anyone's actually got theirs yet apart from marketing samples?

I’ve gone for the S21+

was tempted by the ultra but it’s quite a bit more expensive and the S21+ will suit my needs just as well I’d think.
Use my phone for YouTube, twitch, social media, web browsing and taking a few pics of the kids/dog

nothing overly taxing and the s21+ will do well with

I would have happy with the S21+ as well, but have a lot of music on a SD card, so had to go for a 512GB Ultra over the 256GB plus.

I can buy through work and Samsung EPP gives 10% off. But I've never spent £1000 on a phone before and it's quite a scary prospect. One of the reasons I'm hesitating is what it'll be worth in 2/3 years. I'm actually thinking of the iPhone 12 Pro Max (never had an iPhone) as it'd probably be worth more in a few years time?

Damn, pulled the trigger.

After getting S20 Ultra I promised myself it was time to slow down upgrades (12 months on a phone is a long time for me). Especially as they're all fast now a days, CPU upgrades mean little to me. Then I saw the battery life improvements on the new S21 Ultra Exynos, plus the laser AF.

Went for Phantom Black S21 Ultra 256GB (£1079.10 with work discount), ordered direct from Samsung. Hopefully here by weekend.

Initially ordered a S21+ to replace my S10+ 512 ceramic, cancelled that order and gone for a S21 Ultra 512.

I spoke to someone on chat through the Samsung website who said it does come with a screen protector... Mine is apparently coming tomorrow so will be able to confirm then

I've bit the bullet and grabbed a S21 Ultra Black, moving from a S9+.

Had a frustrating call with my network provider which resulted in me telling the rep im hanging up and redialling to speak to someone who doesnt accuse me of lying and basically told me to take my business elsewhere. Rang baack through, spoke to a decent bloke and shared my frustrations with him and he sorted me out with a much better deal than i had been offered by anyone else.
