**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S21 Family Thread ****

I did. There were some conflicting dates provided during the order process and they still show on the order. Ships by the 28th for the phone and ships by 31st for accessories. But delivery date could be chosen no sooner than 14th Feb. There was no mention of custom colours taking an extra 14 days - I learnt that here.

I'm hoping it comes earlier, but I'm prepared for it not to come until the end of next week, or even the start of the following.
  • Ordered direct from Samsung via work's 'SD Worx Perks' discount scheme.
  • Order Acknowledgement email on 28th, 12:14
  • Order being customised email on 28th, 13:40 - I now see this email states 'Please allow up to 5 weeks for it to arrive'
  • Two SMS on Fri 5th, 21:15. saying my S21 is being customised and will be with me by the 15th.

I hope mine isn't long behind yours!

Samsung have told me an exclusive colour can take up to an extra 5 weeks , last email was in the 29th from Samsung advising my phone was being made , I've already received my buds and tag

Here's hoping for delivery next week!

I still haven't received my buds or tag. I was hoping they'd come, as quite a few people have had theirs already. Then again, it was my plan to sell the extras as I don't relly need them and it can off-set the price of the phone; which, tbh, I'm trying not to think about! :)

I can't really think of a reason to keep the tag. Sort of a solution looking for a problem.

The buds though - I already have some Sony WF-1000X which are ok, so unless the Samsungs offer anything over and above the Sonys provide...

I am in the same boat as you in regards to the buds I have the Sony WF-1000X also amazing buds I also bought the comply tips for them also which made a massive difference. the only reason I'm thinking of keeping the Samsung ones is because of one thing the ip rating, I dare not wear my Sony WF-1000X if it is raining ect as they are not even sweat proof.

Did you guys order from Samsung or another store, I got confirmation yesterday from samsung that my order from mobiles.co.uk has been validated and will receive my pre-order items within 45days

I did a factory reset last night as I was having notification issues. I used the smart switch app to move everything from my S9 to the S21 which might've been the problem. Seems ok at the moment.

How I miss the notification light :(

I used 'aodnotify', but couldnt get on with it. But that was before I did the reset. I'll have a look at 'glimpse notifications'. Cheers.

I'm a week in, upgraded from an s20+ to s21U. Night and day difference on battery life alone. Similar usage patterns and screen on time, 6hrs a day, I would have to top up the s20, just had to or it would die. This is getting to the end of the day on 20-30% left easily. Doesn't even seem to take as big a hit when doing more demanding tasks either, not noticing it warming up, all things I noticed with the s20.

Awesome phone this year, smasung got it right, even though I've seen of the concerns about sustained demand, and it still is a little behind the s888 in places. Real world though those issues don't bother me, it was the issues described above the should be right out the box.

I'm getting a bit worried about the return envelope for the trade in hasn't arrived yet though from Samsung. Just hoping it's next couple of days or will have to start chasing

I know we've moved on from the Exynos v Snapdragon discussion, but I watched that video, and yes, it was a little disappointing to see the differences again swaying towards the SD version, however, in the real world the phone is plenty fast I find. Sustained performance is not really a big deal for me, it's not how I use my phone. Besides I came from a SD 765G in a Pixel 5, and that phone felt more or less fine performance wise, and this S21U is much faster than that was, so overall I've nothing at all to complain about. Battery life, screen quality, camera, speed, all outstanding. This is coming from someone who has been accused of being too fussy so bare that in mind.
