The maintenance mode is handy if phone is going in for repair

When enabled, Maintenance mode creates a separate user account that allows access to the core functionalities of the device, such as pre-installed apps, while keeping your pictures, videos, and other sensitive data from being accessible. It also disables the use of third-party apps, and Samsung apps that are downloaded through the Galaxy Store and any data or accounts created in Maintenance mode is deleted once the mode is turned off

To be expected, S23 is still a ways off. I will be upgrading to the S23 Ultra if the rumoured 200MP camera upgrade is accurate.

Just update to the latest 224MB odd OTA that will be waiting in settings. That is the correct path to get to the release version.

Anyone noticed a few new apps in Good Lock? Camera Assistant looks cool:
@ mrk have you tried this yet ?

I'm having problems posting and replying on other forums since the update. Is anyone else experiencing bugs since the latest update?

The only problem I seem to have (and it's been an on going thing for a while) is forums like this one, viewed using Samsung internet browser, and using the Samsung keyboard to reply. The cursor that dictates where the words are typed starts jumping back and forth and then adds multiple empty lines which makes it unusable when trying to type a reply of any semblance.

Using a different keyboard fixes this. Because the latest Samsung keyboard update didn't fix the issue.

Hi,

I have upgraded my phone from the s10 to the s22 ultra, I used the sync app to copy all my data across, wiped my old phone and passed it on.

I have used it for a few days, no issues.

This morning I was asked to update to the oneui 5.0 if i remember correctly. Once it restarted my password didn't work. I have tried all day and now have to wait an hour between tries.

My find my phone options were all turned on as i work out in the community, I can see my phone on the website, but when I try to unlock it accepts my password then gives me an error, when I try to back up my data it gives me an error.

Samsung help centre asked me to use find my phone, then told me to hard reset it once that didn't work.

I am looking for other options to save my data first before I do that.

I have restarted the phone by holding the volume and power button, I have tried the clear cache using the boot menu, my password still doesn't work.

Is there any way to bypass the lock or at least save the data before resetting?

A lot of the methods or apps that come up first on searching seem to be either outdated, just a hard reset, or get bad reviews.

Thanks

Any recommendations for a S22U new guy in regards to case and screen protector? I have a habit of dropping phones so am trying to prevent smashing this thing to pieces! Thanks.

Thanks, was just reading through this thread and can see everyone seems to recommend the Samsung screen protector, but yes seems it can be tricky finding them in stock! I'll pick those ones up from Amazon you linked and think I like the look of a Caseology Nano Pop case.
