**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S22 Family Thread ****

Expect it to only get better too. With the S20 Samsung improved the camera quite a bit over the months and added new features in the process. The computational photography is now immense with that phone so can only imagine what the new hardware in the S22 will be able to pull off.

The camera performance does look very good.

As a S10+ owner, I think it might be time to upgrade. Especially as the charging port on mine is on it's way out! Hmm!

Are the UK providers providing the dual sim or single sim handsets?

It's essentially dual SIM or triple SIM anyway. Convert your main sim to an eSIM (free with your network or max cost 50p) and that leaves your SIM slot(s) free for a physical one. All Samsung flagships support eSims and have done for some time. I will never use a physical SIM again as it's just more convenient going e!

Gone for one (it was that YT vid of the 24hrs with specifically the Exynos model that did it).

256GB model in black, I'm with EE. Went for the upgrade deal of 100GB data and one perk (roaming data), upgrade anytime blah blah....

With trade in of my S10+ and a 20% staff / student discount code I got it for £47.40 a month, no one off cost.

Something funky is going on with EE's website, it looks like they are in the middle of changing the pricing and deals, as it should be £45.80, but in check out doesn't match up. Took some screenshots and will contact them tomorrow.

That charger listed by @kona786 is actually a really great deal. Thanks for sharing it.

Looking at cases now, thinking the official silicone, but kinda undecided.

Same here was all set to stick with my S21 Ultra for another year as i wasn't convinced the new Exynos was going to be any better & in some cases worst than the Exynos 2100, but that YT vid shows that the S22 Ultra is quite a bit better than the S21 Ultra in both the camera & performance, and there is already a new firmware out for it ready to download on launch so could be even better still.

So I've pre ordered the S22 Ultra 256GB in Phantom Black with 10 percent discount decided not to trade in my S21 Ultra but rather sell it, also the free Galaxy Buds Pros will be sold as well as i can't wear these as they irritate my ear's.

How are you getting that price? The 100GB deal for the 256GB Ultra is £72 with trade in? With your 20% that brings it to £57.60? Unless I'm missing something...

Less than impressed they have dropped the PSU and SD card slot. It almost feels like a downgrade from the S20 Ultra to me. Hopefully there will be enough stuff and improvements to justify it, but not sure the S pen is really worth it. Maybe I should keep my old phone for another year or so.

Also thinking back to the pain I had with the software at first with the S20, I almost shudder at the experience.

Expect all the big brands to not include a power brick. Apple did it and everyone else is following. The exception is Chinese brands. I got the Redmagic 7 other week which is the Snapdragon 8 gen1 and it came with a 65watt power brick and a case. I recall when Samsung included bricks and cases too (S10e) but only in some regions (Asia in my case as I grey imported it) whilst the EU models got no case etc.

It's less green on the environment by NOT including these things as more packaging and manufacturing is needed to sell them on their own so it's a bit of a box ticking exercise rather than being good to the environment.

I traded in my Note 20 Ultra 5g, they gave £420 plus £150 bonus so £570 is not to be sniffed at.
I had the 30% off accessories and a previous voucher so all in all I paid £673 for the Samsung exclusive Red S22 Ultra 256gb.

I'm pretty sure the Exynos 2200 will be a big step up from the Note 20 Exynos 990 in power and battery even if it's not top dog in the processor world!

Has nobody else chosen one of the exclusive colours then? Just me?! :p

Burgundy for me wanted to trade in my phone asap after previous mishap trading in my Note 9 and snapping the Spen in 1/2 2 days before trade in. Had an awful time sourcing a replacement at the time 2 fakes before a got an original

I'm not bothered by the colour as it will be in a case so cant see it anyway

Graphite colour just stood out to me tbh, the shade looks lighter than I know it will be in real life as Samsung's stock images are often that way for the non standard colours - Looking forward to it! Although a shame no youtubers etc have the 3 exclusive colours to show.

do colours matter anymore, all hidden behind a case anyway :p
