**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S22 Family Thread ****

My S22U has arrived in store but can't collect until Monday at the earliest.

They have a no return policy for opened items, so not going to be able to test the device.

Wasn't going to bother again this time as I'm still happy with my 3 year old S10+.

However given that Samsung are offering £370 trade in it reduces the 256GB S22 Ultra to £879.

I also pay £7.99 for Disney plus so i'll save that for a year.

I can get an unlimited data 24mth SIM on three for £16

It means i've now potentially effectively got the option of getting one over 2 years at an effective £44.65 for 12 months followed by £52.63 over the second 12 or going for 36 months & getting one at £32.43 for 12 months followed by £40.42 for the remaining 24.

It's suddenly quite tempting.

They offered the same trade for my P30 Pro, so I also jumped (plus Galaxy buds I might get 50 for, and potential 50 quidco cashback).

Having second thoughts after seeing how poor the Exynos processor is shaping up though. It'll likely not impact my use at all when new, but I like to keep my phones for at least a few years, so I'll be returning unless the story changes massively with an update soon (I've seen speculation it may, but I'm not counting on it).

Pretty much what swayed me, with the usual bit of man maths as I wanted a better camera, make sure you use the cashback and discount codes both on three and samsung, £65 back on a 12 month unlimited @ £16 for three

it has been confirmed no screen protector on UK model apparently to save on plastic

Also I got an email from Samsung store to expect to be contacted by Monday for collection.

Just like they save on plastic by not including those fancy new chargers in the box.

Even though they still manufacturer them just incase someone might actually need a charger. :D

Which did you get? I've always had glass, but it's a right faff playing with loca glue/uv and mopping up the excess etc.

These used same brand on my S21 Ultra and they done the job.

Ordered the smart clear view cover directly from Samsung. Few reasons it looks cool, the cutout on the front doesn't block the cameras at the back when you flip the case, and also the cutout on the case for the camera goes around them all perfectly. other cases have an L shape cutout that looks horrible.
I think its worth the £26 vs what else is out thier.

I have the clear view cover on my S20u and it is the one to go for IMO. I also ordered the burgundy clear view for the s22u and it arrived the other day.

I had the LED view one on my old S9 but much prefer the clear view now. Seems more grown up lol.

anyone else manage to trade in and get the graphite for same trade in price?

I did get offered £570 for my N20U against the Graphite on 09/02 but didn't want to wait till mid March. Only when I tried again a few days ago did I notice the drop in trade in

I went for the 256 Graphite, pre ordered on the 13th, and got full trade in value. It was a toss-up whether to trade in my S21 Ultra, or my old Note 9. But it still showed full amounts for both.

Edit: Just gone through the process again and successfully added the 21ultra for £570, BUT as soon as I select an exclusive colour the trade-in drops £100 down to £470, cheeky.
