**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S22 Family Thread ****

Unless there's some sort of amazing update over the weekend my Ultra will be going back. Just nowhere near as smooth as my P6 Pro. It feels like a budget phone rather than a flagship. Low light photography is also poor. Indoor shots under artificial light are horibly oversaturated.

Who says there is an update coming over the weekend?

Day1 patch is normal these days, so it wouldn't surprise me, nice of you guys to help get all the bugs hammered out so I can have smooth experience when mine comes in March :D

Loads of references to it on the internet and Samsung says there is a patch for the display issue. I can't see them wanting to delay releasing it as it's clear plenty of handsets are affected.

I've left mine upstairs as I can't even be bothered to use it in its current state. So weird and frustrating as lots of people seem happy.

It's frustrating why Samsung chose to launch the Exynos in Europe - just seen this video highlighting the difference with Exynos and Snapdragon in video recording. It's like Samsung doesn't care about Europe...

With the exception of low light I have this in reverse, think my p6 pro feels budget in comparison .

Each to their own though

Anyone else getting slightly concerned about the state of this phone's release and choice of upgrade? Mine will arrive in 3 weeks, and I'm 50/50 about looking forward to getting it.

The more days that go by the more and more people there are complaining about the S22 Ultra's lack of performance and display issues etc :(

Problems reported on this site, Samsungs own discussion forums and also XDA, I can only imagine the reports coming in on other sites and in other countries.

I know its been said before, but this is a flagship phone at a flagship price, I really hope this is software, and not some hardware/yield/early tech(AMD) issue. Fingers crossed.

I got mine yesterday & so far it's issue free and really snappy performance wise, can't complain.

Yep whilst some areas of the phone are great, I have the reported screen glitches and so far battery screen on time is looking to be around 3 hours which is rubbish. I do however use both sims and use WiFi calling due to poor coverage, but substantial drain from somewhere. Screen is nice, performance seems fine and camera is a massive step up from my note 8, just battery life is going to be a deal breaker I think. But will give it a whole week before I decide

I think what concerns me is that, I could be classed as a power user, so having a phone with bugs and performance issues isn't going to make for a nice experience. Will have to wait and see.

Rather than have two phones, I use dual sim. So its used as my work mobile as well as personal phone. We have dedicated work software, as well as the usual social stuff, photos every day, smart watch stuff etc and bluetoothed to multiple devices simultaneously. Android Auto gets lots of use during the day, and I'm the sort of person that has all the features turned on and up to max! :D And in the past Samsung have been quite good at doing all that.

I had lots of concerns after reading reviews prior to it arriving but has turned out to be fantastic for me.

I do however use Nova Launcher which is rapid, also turned off animations so it's super snappy.

I opened the box took the returns label out stuck it on and dropped it at my local dpd drop off point. Didn't even turn the phone on.

The reviews just weren't filling me with confidence for a £1000+ flagship, it looks like the pickup point may have lost it though so I'll probably end up paying for a phone I don't even own nevermind a slightly buggy one :o

Can you still return the S22 ultra despite opening it, using it, and taking the protective films off?
I'm in two minds if I can, the battery doesn't fill me with confidence ATM.

Looked pretty mixed in a few cases I mean when he's bashing exynos at the end it acually looks loads better than the SD. :D Like the S22 generally might have some focussing issue inlow light when moving.

Sorry, some of you are having issues with your new phones.
Tbh i have been a yearly upgrader for Samsung flagships for years. This year i just did nto like what i was seeing so i thought this year I'm skipping Samsung. and went to the Darkside that is the iPhone 13 pro max 1tb.

After reading all these posts and youtube ect. i have a feeling i did the rite thing for me. but those of you who have it you just know unless any of the problems are hardware it will get fixed in updates and just lately Samsung has been very quick pushing them out.

Hold in there it will get fixed(fingers crossed,)
