*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S4 Thread ***

After a glitch on the Carphone Warehouse website, I saw the price for the Samsung Galaxy S4. The pricing has now been removed but you heard it here first.

Details are as follows:

SIM Free Deal:

£599.95

which one is that for though ?? 64gig ?

Wow, if that is for the 16 or 32GB version, Samsung/CPW are having a laugh.

I seriously hope Samsung haven't taken apple's attitude with regards to pricing as well now :o

 That's pricey! but then again CPW have always been slightly more expensive compared to the likes of Clove and Handtec.

To put some actual pricing news in the thread: tweakers.net indicates that Dutch websites will be selling the 16GB black S4 from 666 to 749 Euro. That converts to £562.37-£632.46. So it's likely either the 16GB and CPW are selling for mid-range, or the 32GB and CPW are selling it quite cheaply.

selling it cheaply?! I'll assume its the first option

Let's not forget that Phones4U were selling the S3 sim free for £600 for the 16GB version at release, that quickly came down though!

I'd say it's a fairly safe bet that the 16GB model will be between £500 and £530 in general.

Yeah I agree, a few of us from OCUK bought the Pebble Blue 16GB S3 from Mobile Fun for £550 when it was hard to find.

£500-£530 will be a decent price for the 16gb version

Did anyone look at that comprehensive review and benchmarks of the i9500 version I posted earlier from some Russian site via xda, I was sold by the benches and general review but even considering that £600 is crazy, surely that's just stupid early pricing and by June it'll be £500 give or take.

Yeah it does look like a great piece of kit overall, absolutely love the way they got 4.99" screen in but have made it smaller than the gs3 and it really does show here in comparison to those two other phones:

I wish htc squeezed as much out of the front with regards to screen size as possible.

Overall it was a very good review, however, he could have been a bit more detailed about the battery as what he provided is pretty pointless, at first glance it sounds great (4 hours 20 min with max screen brightness [however the screen isn't bright so less power required] but he only told us about 40 minutes of video and half the game of temple run 2 [how long is that?], what about the rest of the time? What was syncing etc.)

My only main concern there is the screen brightness, seems very low, surprised that he finds it great in sunshine though

If Samsung had improved touchwiz UI throughout and had a nicer plastic finish, I would be extremely tempted by it but it just doesn't do it for me. Touchwiz improved with the gs3 over the gs 2 just like the gs 2 did over gs 1 version but imo they have gone and downgraded it with the new version on the gs 4, as the founder of CM said, it takes me back to froyo days.
