*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

Despite how delicate you would think this device is considering it's predominantly glass, my phone has survived two drops so far and shows no sign of damage.

The phone slipped off its wireless charging pad due to the slippy glass back, falling off my bedside table and onto solid wood flooring. Then this morning, the phone was hip height in my pocket when the headphone lead became caught on a drawer handle, resulting in the phone being pulled from my pocket and hitting laminate flooring when I moved.

Did you miss the videos posted a while back? Gorilla glass 4 on both sides, its highly durable compared to other glass phones. :p

nova launcher on Samsung phones is essential if want super smooth lag free use ,

i never before bothered with Nova, i used HTC M8 which didnt really need it as it was super smooth, but on galaxy its a must i been using it for past week now and set it how i like it and its super smooth now, no stutters at all, its bought a new lease of life to it, they still need to fix the ram issue :D

thanks for all who suggested Nova, only thing wish i could arrange app draw apps, its always jusy A-Z, but i have created folders so its abit more organized

My case for now is the Neo Hybrid Clear. I like the metallized buttons.

Screen protector - dont need one.

Is it a good case

It's gorilla glass 4 isn't it - It can still scratch though I guess

The screen will probably scratch if your careless, im not really worried about it.

The case is really nice - gives it more grip, keeps the back flush so it doesn't wobble around, it makes the buttons better, has a blue finish around the edges so it gives the phone more style.

I am considering installing nova launcher on my s6 as everyone seems to rave about it, but I am uncertain what benefits it will bring.

People say it makes the phone more responsive but I can't honestly say that my s6 have ever lagged or felt laggy. Infact it is silky smooth at everything I throw at it.

Another benefit I see people talking about is in UI looks and ability to customise more. Again I catually quite like the look of touchwiz so I dont know if I could benefit from anything here, unless there are some really interesting customisations which I dont know about?

Is there something else that I am missing which could possibly sway me towards Nova?

Perhaps after a few more weeks/months of use touch wizz will start to lag?

I have the similar dilemna, unclebob123... I read people rave about it... but I haven't had any noticeable lagginess on the S6E, it's significantly faster response-wise than my ip6+ was and I thought that was quite quick for a phone. But... I'm all for extra speed if that really is the case.

Having taken a look at the screenshots of Nova... TouchWiz is much nicer to look at / more refined... the screenshots I've seen of Nova just look gross, crappy and ugly.

I'd be tempted to switz for speed improvements... but I'm not sure if I can be bothered with the ugliness of what I've seen so far.

You can easily try a free version of Nova or Apex for a bit and change back of you don't like it.

Personally use Apex, though my Z3 wasn't as bad without it as my S4 was, Touchwiz feels horrible to use once used to Nova or Apex imo.

Not really sure what the ugliness comments refer to though, it's a launcher, visually there isn't much to it and can generally be customised to exactly what you want anyway.

I read the reviews for that case and some people are saying it has affects on the signal

Signal seems about the same with or without the case so im happy :p

I was going for the Ultra thin at first but the buttons looked spongy?
I like these metallized buttons. Very clicky and the size difference makes them much nicer to press.
